Gemma was mortified.

She fought against Azazel in her mind as she watched Exton tackle Tobias to the ground. The men flew past her as they crashed against the glass of the greenhouse. Tobias was caught off guard momentarily as Exton's fist collided with his jaw.

But as Gemma fought her own battle against Azazel, she watched Tobias blast Exton off of him.

Exton's body flew to the other side of the greenhouse. As he got up at the speed of lightning and ran towards Tobias again, Gemma was able to snap back into her mind. She tried to grab him arm as he ran past her, but he was too quick.

Exton was on top of Tobias once more, pounding the god with his fists. Tobias flipped him over and trapped him between the glass walls and himself.

Gemma screamed for them to stop as Xavier and everyone else ran into the room.

They were horrified at what they saw.

Gemma turned to Xavier with tears in his eyes as they watched Exton shift into his wolf.

She tried to run towards them, but Xavier grabbed her arm and yanked her back.

"Let me go!" She yelled.

"Are you insane?" Xavier asked her. "They'll crush you!"

"Exton!" Gemma called out. But he paid her no mind. His rage was settled on Tobias.

Exton let a ground shaking growl rip through him as his large gray wolf pounced in Tobias.

Rye screamed behind Basil.

The men were a mess of gray fur and black coats. Exton's wolf stood on its hind legs as he tried to bite off Tobias's face with his powerful jaw. Tobias flipped him off and blasted him once more with a ball of energy.

Exton dodged the attack and bit down on Tobias's leg making him hiss in pain.

Gemma screamed again as Tobias kicked out with his other leg and caught Exton's wolf on the ribs.

"Stop them!" Rye begged Xavier.

"Stay back," Xavier warned her. He knew it would not end well for anyone to jump into the mess. It angered his wolf to watch his son in such a situation, but he also knew Exton could hold his own ground.

"Exton, stop!" Gemma yelled again. This time she felt Lafayette's hand on her arm yanking her back.

She had no time to turn and see what he was thinking because at that moment, Tobias summoned a golden ball of energy.

Gemma's heart froze.

She knew the blast would be strong enough to do some serious damage.

Without a moment of hesitation, Gemma let the energy raging inside of her shoot out of her arm. Xavier and Lafayette we knocked off their feet as Gemma ran towards Exton's wolf. She reached him just in time as Tobias let the golden ball fly through the air.

Gemma crash landed against Exton's wolf and threw her arms around his neck. She felt her magic ripple out of her like a tsunami wave as a force field flapped open around her and Exton.

Tobias's attack exploded against Gemma's shield. She felt its heat through her magic. Next to her, she heard Exton growl. She turned slowly to find his eyes on her...he was growling at her.

Gemma was shocked.

Exton bared his sharp canines in her face as she watched her own horrified expression in his large green eyes.
