"Todoroki..."

What now? Shouto looked left and right. Even behind him. There wasn't a single soul in sight. He rubs his face and softly drags his cheeks. I need to get out of this hospital.

"Todoroki..."

The teen could tell that this voice belong to an adult man. Probably in his mid to late forties. But they held authority in their voice and Shouto could do anything else except listen. He follows the voice mindlessly.

"Todoroki..."

"Yes yes, I hear you", Todoroki whispers in an annoyed tone. He sighs and shakes his head, continuing on with his little "adventure". He made left and right turns. Up and down hallways. Shouto felt like he was going in circles, yet at the same time, it felt like he'd never seen certain parts of the asylum.

Suddenly, a door creaks open. A cool breeze blows at him, so chilling that it made the hairs on his neck stand tall.

     "Come closer boy..."

Whoever this is really wants my attention. The red and white haired boy looked at his surroundings before walking towards the oak door. This room looked abandoned. The air was cold inside–so cold that it made him shrink into the light jacket. But even Shouto knew it was futile.

Shouto opens the door and looks inside. It is very dark, he could not see what was inside. Taking a deep breath he steps forward. But he jerks down and almost misses his footing. If it wasn't for the railing, he probably would've fell face first.

Shouto slowly opens his eyes to see what he put himself through. And when he does, it takes his eyes a minute to really focus on the darkness of the stairwell. The stairs descended so far down and it was dark–too dark. Shouto was not really sure if there were going to be more stairs if he went down. Has this area always been here? He knows Tokyo Asylum like the back of his hand and he does not recognize this place.

Why is this place hidden? He holds onto the railing as he goes down the stairs. Every click of his converse shoes echoed through the room, sending chills of fear into his spine. He knew there was nothing to be afraid of. It was just some stairs anyway.

Shouto then heard a deep chuckle, and that made him want to turn around. "I'm surprised you actually followed my voice. Nobody would be crazy enough to do such things; then again, nobody had ever heard me."

"I guess", Shouto starts. "I'm just a cat that has to know what's going on."

He heard that hollow voice chuckle. It sounded so empty and dark, void of too many emotions. "I like you kid. I like you a lot." Shouto shakes his head and he keeps going down the steps. Sometimes, one would creak and he would flinch. But he finally gets to the ground, and everything was just too, too dark for his eyes to focus on.

"Are you serious", Shouto mumbles. He takes his phone and turns the flashlight on.

Now that he had his source of lighting, it just made the basement (he figured it was a basement) far more ominous then it needed to be. The light gave off this bluish-green tint as little particles of dust floated around. He turns to his right, more stairs being in sight. More stairs? Does this go down to the core of the earth or something?

He chuckles at his sarcastic remark. Shouto walks around the ground level. It felt like he was in some horror movie and sooner or later something would jump out. Shouto could hear a couple of squeaks from rats. The floorboards moaned at the pressure of someone walking on top of them after all of these years...however long it's been.

Shouto shined the light through the rooms to see what was inside. The majority were just rooms the patients would be placed in. The largest was a cafeteria. And a couple were offices. But one room seemed to stick out to him, there were a bunch of rusted file cabinets. Papers were littered on the floor and four tables were pushed together in the middle of the room. Shouto looks down at the gold handles, he went to pull them, but something grabbed his shoulders and pulls him back. He was prepared to scream when the same hand covered his mouth.

"What are you doing down here?!"

Shouto looks up to see his panicked father glaring down at him. His brother and mother were at the bottom of the stairs. Rei's expression changed from a worry look to a soft scowl. Shouto was sure he was screwed.

"What are you even doing here? You're supposed to be at home", Rei shouts as she makes her way over. Her grey eyes were glossy, close to releasing its tears. It made the teenager lower his head in guilt. "I'm sorry. I-I just really had to check on a friend."

"Well they could've waited until you got better!"

The albino woman grabs Shouto's wrist and walks past Enji. She heads up the stairs, glaring at the back of Natsuo's head. "I'll speak to you later. And you as well." Referring to her husband, who rolls his ice blue eyes. The oldest boy follows up the stairs behind his mother and brother, giving one last look to Enji before continuing on.

The man takes a look at the room, a heavy frown dawning on his face before making his way towards the stairs quickly.

But he didn't notice the translucent hand that pressed against the glass. Dragging it down slowly, blood smearing on the glass.
