Chapter 18👻 The Rooftop

     "Sho? Are you in there?"

Fuyumi stood at the door. She scrunched her brows together as she knocks once more. "Shouto? Are you alright in there?" She turns the knob and opens the door. Fuyumi peeks her head in and smiles at the sight of Shouto sprawled out on the bed fast asleep. Geez he must've been up all night. The woman carefully walks in and takes the blanket off of the floor. Even though it was nine-thirty in the morning, she figured he wanted to sleep in.

     She was about to place the blanket on top of Shouto when he stirs awake. "Fuyumi? What are you doing in my room? It's too early to get up for school."

     "Actually it's Saturday and it's nine-thirty."

     Shouto peeks an eye open, "so?"

     "So? I'm sure you don't want your breakfast to get cold. Now come come, Mom and Dad are waiting~!"

     Shouto groans as his sister leaves him alone in the room. He moves around to stretch, but knocks a couple of files to the floor. Shit! He leans over the edge of the bed and grabs the files. Then sits up and stacks them neatly before placing them under his pillows. Shouto grabs his phone and looks at the time. "9:34? I must've stayed up longer. I usually don't sleep in."

  He rolls off of bed, but finding out that that was a bad idea to late he falls with a loud bang! "Ouch ouch ouch!"

     "Oh my gosh! Are you okay Todoroki?"

     Shouto looks up to see Tsuyu floating over him upside down. Her hair swayed gently upwards as her smile looked like a frown. "Good morning Tsuyu", he mumbles.

Tsuyu giggles, "morning."

     Shouto's door suddenly flew open. Standing there was his father and mother. "Shouto! Are you alright", Rei asks as she moves past her husband to get to her son. She crouches down and holds the boy in her arms. "I'm fine. I just rolled out of bed and realized too late that it was a bad idea", he huffs out in annoyance.

Enji crosses his bulky arms over his chest. "Please be more careful next time. We don't want to see you in the hospital again."

     "Sorry father."

     Enji shakes his head and chuckles a little before making his leave. Rei helps Shouto stand and kisses his forehead. "I'll see you downstairs okay?"

     "Okay."

      Once Rei leaves, Tsuyu appears from the closet and looks over at the door. Shouto saw how frightened she looked, how spaced out she seemed. "Tsu? Are you okay?"

The greenette turns to him and smiles cheerfully, "yeah! I'm fine." She floats over to his bed and motions for him to grab his pillow where he hid the files. He does as he's told and just holds them in his hand. "Hide them in a container in your closet. You don't want them knowing you have some important files."

     "Ah. You're right."

     Shouto grabs a clear plastic bin that could fit the files inside. He dumps out the junk inside and replaces them with the files. Shout sets them up high where he knew nobody would go searching for things. "Okay, they're hidden. Now why—?" When he turns around, he noticed he was in the room alone. His stomach did a couple of flops and fluttered around with butterflies as he breaths slowly in and out.
