Chapter 17👻 Gentle Soul

After Fuyumi dropped Katsuki off at his house and made it back home. Shouto immediately steps out of the car and races to the house. He opens the door and runs up the stairs with one arm holding the old files tightly. "Shouto? Are you alright", Rei calls from the kitchen.

     "Yes! Good night!"

"But you didn't even have dinner", Fuyumi shouts as she closes the door and locks it.

"Not hungry!"

Both females look at each other. " What has gotten into him", Rei asks.

     Fuyumi shrugs, "I'm not sure."

     She sets her keys on her table by the door and walks into the kitchen. "I'm going to make him something anyways, I'm sure he hasn't eaten." The older woman gives out a long tired sigh and nods her head. "Okay. I'm going to head upstairs to my room. I have some work I need to finish."

Shouto finishes showering and brushing his teeth. He closes the door to his room and stands there. Shouto looks at the files stacked on his desk. He went through all the trouble in getting them and has been itching to know the information inside. But now he felt so unsure of himself. Like it would open Pandora's box and cause chaos. Shouto sighs as he walks over and sits in his swivel chair. He picks the files up and looks at the names on the tabs. Who should I read about?

After his mental debate, he grabs Himiko's file. He shakes his head though and places her file back. Then he grabs the file that says Kai Chisaki.

Name: Kai Chisaki

Age: 24

Condition: OCD & Psychotic disorder

Kai Chisaki was a registered nurse at Musutafu hospital. Staff says that he was a wonderful coworker and was very efficient with taking care of the patients and keeping rooms sanitized. But after the mysterious deaths of ten patients, six of the patients being elder members of the city council, he was under the suspicion that he was involved with this tragedies. In 2016, Chisaki was arrested for murdering 20 patients and three of his co-workers. The eyewitness said that they caught Chisaki tampering with the patient's IV bag. Chisaki was given the insanity plea and was emitted into Tokyo Asylum for OCD and Psychotic disorders—.

A cold breeze grazed Shouto's neck. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He could hear someone breathing, but it sounded warped—almost like they had been underwater. Shouto could feel his heart beat against his rib cage as he turns around slowly. His mind screamed 'no! Don't turn around!' But how could he just ignore this feeling? How?!

    Cautiously he turns his head. And there before him was a shivering girl with long green hair. She was drenched in water and made a pool where she stood. Her face was ghostly white, showing off her purplish blue bruises on her delicate skin.

She just stood so still. Shouto did not know what to do. If he made a move or spoke, would she attack? But then he looked at her uniform, the grey blazer with two green stripes at the ends of her sleeves. A green skirt that stopped mid-thigh. Black socks that stopped at her calf muscle. And brown Oxford shoes. He looks closer at her face, and when he does, his heart skips a beat.

"T-Tsuyu? Is that...really you?"

The ghost's hair begins to drift up, it flowed up and down and swished around her. Yet he was able to see her face. And it made Shouto's heart sink. "Tsuyu...it really is you." The ghostly girl gives him her sweet signature smile. It always made everyone in the classroom feel at ease and know that things were going to be alright when she assures that it would be.
