~the airs POV~

Lance McClain was really lost. He had just gotten dropped off at the train station and had no idea where to go. Unfortunately there was no red head troop to show him the way.

Lance looked up at the sign that said 'Platform 9' then at the one reading 'Platform 10'

'So where is 9 1/3?' He thought to himself, looking around.

"Hey! Omygosh! Hey, Lance!" Lance turned to see one of his childhood friends, Hunk Garett walking towards him with his family.

"Hunk? What are you doing here?" Lance asked, embracing his friend.

"Well, I'm here for Hogwarts-" Hunk paused, looking conflicted, "oh wait! You're not supposed to know about that!"

Lance just laughed at his friend, and replied excitedly, "Hunk it's alright. I got accepted into Hogwarts!"

"Really!? That's awesome! I didn't know if you would, seeing as you're a muggle and all, but yay! I can't wait for this year!"

"Speaking of which, children, we gotta get you two on the train." Said Hunks mom, ushering them forward. "Hunk, you first so Lance can see what to do."

"Ok." Replied Hunk, then, turning to the wall, he ran right into it.

"WHAT!?" Lance exclaimed, "Where'd he go!?"

The grown-ups just laughed and gestured for him to go. So he grabbed tight to his luggage, and ran into the wall.

"Woah." He gasped as he ran right into the wizarding world, "This is way better than television!" Hunk, who was waiting for him, laughed.

"True. Now, let's get on the train before they leave us. Bye Mum! Bye Dad!" He yelled the last part to his parents, who had entered not long after Lance.

"Bye son! Be good! Remember to owl!" They yelled back, waving to both boys as they walked into the train.

Lance, who still felt quite lost, followed Hunk to an almost empty compartment, as the others were full.

"Hey, can we sit here? Most of the other compartments are full." Hunk asked the(A/N sry if this upsets anyone, but I'm putting them as a girl because otherwise I will be super lost. Sry loves) girl sitting in the compartment.

She looked up, then nodded, before going back to the book she was reading.

"My name's Lance, this is Hunk." Said Lance, before asking "What's your name?"

The girl sighted before putting a marker in her book and setting it down. "My name is Katie Holt, but you two can call me Pidge." She said, sounding slightly annoyed.

"Nice to meet you. What house do you think you'll end up in?" Asked Hunk,

"Well hopefully I get Ravenclaw. Though Slytherin wouldn't be bad either, even if there are rumors about them being "evil"." She replied, looking excited, "What about you two?"

Lance opened his mouth, ready to reply, when the door was opened again. There stood a boy who was they're age (they're all 11, duh!).

"Can I please sit in here with you guys?" Asked the boy.

Lance was tongue tied for what felt like the first time in his life, "Um- uh- ye-yes! Of course! sure!" He stammered out after a few ticks of staring.

The boy looked at him funny, then shrugged and sat down next to Pidge and looked out the window, after storing his luggage of course.

'what the hay!? That's never happened before! Why did I get tongue tied!?' Lance thought to himself.
"So...." Said hunk, startling Lance out of his thoughts, "What your name?"

The boy didn't reply for a few seconds, then said, "my name is Keith."

"Oh. Cool! I'm Hunk, that's Pidge and this is Lance." Hunk said, pointing to himself, Pidge and Lance respectively.
"Before you came in we were discussing what house we are hoping for. Personally I would like to be in Hufflepuff, all my family is. Pidge said she wants either Slytherin or Ravenclaw, and Lance hadn't said." Hunk took a breath before continuing, "What about you? What do you want to get?"

Keith thought for a moment, before saying, "Either Gryffindor or Slytherin. I think I'd fit in both." He looked over at Lance, and asked, "What about you?"

Lance looked up, "I'd like to be in Gryffindor." He said, puffing out his chest and trying to look prideful, while really he was thinking, 'I'd actually enjoy being in Ravenclaw. I'm smarter than they think. But no one would accept me there so I'll just keep saying Gryffindor.'

Keith looked at him, an unreadable look on his face. "I guess you'd fit in there pretty well."

There was silence for a bit, before Hunk asked where Pidge was from, which launched the group into talking again.

Eventually, Pidge looked out the window and said, "We're almost there guys. I'm going to go put on my robes." She said before leaving the three boys to get their stuff on.

A few minutes later she returned, only to see the boys still struggling.

"Wow. Good job." She said, snickering at their failure. The boys glared, laughing at each other.

After some more struggling, they got into their robes and waited for the train to stop.
