The next morning, Lance woke up to his dorm mates getting ready. They introduced themselves as Henry Zander, who had brown hair, John Laurens who had curly light brown hair, and Sam Huffer who had blonde hair.
The four got ready then headed down for breakfast in the great hall. When they got there they split, each heading to sit with their friends. Lance saw Hunk and Pidge sitting at the Slytherin table and headed for them.
Despite the fact that some people in the wizarding world were still blood biased, the Hogwarts houses now mixed at all dining times except for dinner. There was still some house rivalry but after the war people got a wake up call that blood status doesn't matter.
Lance sat down with his friends and started shoveling food onto his plate. Keith came in a few moments after Lance and sat down next to Pidge, across from Lance, who was by Hunk.
"Morning," Lance mumbled around the food shoved in his mouth. Pigde made a face, while Keith and Hunk just replied and continued eating.
As more students trickled in the heads of houses started passing out the timetables. Professor Draco Malfoy, the current head of Slytherin, came by and gave Pidge her timetable.
Professor Harry Potter(Malfoy) came after him to give Keith his table. Professor Flitwick gave Lance his and Professor Sprout handed Hunk his.
"Oh dang! I have herbology first." Complained Lance after glancing over his table.
"Don't worry Lance, I'll help." Said Hunk, smiling over at his best friend.
"Thanks." Lance then turned to Keith, "What do you have first?"
"I have potions with the Slytherins first, then history of magic, herbology, and then DADA." Keith looked over Pidges timetable and nodded as he noticed that he'd be with her most of today's classes.
"Guys, it's time to go." Said Pidge after glancing at her watch. The four friends rose from their seats and headed off to class, waving when they had to go their separate ways.
~following Hunk and Lance~
"Welcome students! I'm Professor Sprout. Today we'll be studying moonflowers. Now these particular flowers can't grow with moonlight, so we're only going to be planting them and studying their growth over the next few weeks."
Hence started the long class of studying, planting and more studying. Eventually the bell rang and the students were released to their next classes, which was Transfiguration then flying lessons.
~Following Pidge and Keith~
Pidge and Keith waved to their friends then set off towards the potions classroom, which was no longer in the dungeon and instead in a brighter classroom on the ground floor.
"Let's sit in the back, Pidge." Said Keith as they were the first few there. Pidge nodded and headed to the seat closest to the door which was at the back of the room.
After a few minutes more students came in and chose their desks. They waited for the teacher to come, chatting excitedly at the thought of making potions.
A door right behind the professor's desk slammed open, making quite a few students jump as Professor Malfoy entered the room with messed up hair and a slight blush on his face. No one noticed the door being silently closed as someone under an invisibility cloak snuck out through the door.
No one except for Pidge. Who knew exactly who it was.
Malfoy smoothed down his hair before starting,
"Hello students, sorry I'm late, I was just… going over some paperwork and lost track of time. Put away your wands please. There will be no need for them as we are studying the Get Rid of Boils potion today. Tomorrow we will be starting it so study up. Turn to page 322 and begin."
The rest of the class was spent with snickers from the girls who knew why Malfoy was late, Malfoy shushing them, and pages being flipped.
Eventually the bell rang and the kids escaped to their next class. Pidge and Keith were off to History of Magic then Transfiguration.
