Year 2 Chapter 11 - Mysterious Olivia
"UP!" Olivia said and her broom flew into her hand. We did a mini celebration about that. Maria is good at riding brooms so she got it first try as well. Ary got it on, I think fifth try, but she was really happy. Draco is of course a pureblood and a good quidditch player so he got it second try.
"How is the search going?" Ary was suddenly next to me.
"Oh, um...." I didn't know whether I should lie to her or tell her I did. But I didn't have to be silent for long.
"It's going great." Olivia says, admiring her broom, not even looking at us.
"How do you know?" Ary turned to her.
"I don't like to talk about it...." Olivia strokes the cuts on her broomstick.
"I think she means to say is that the search is not going so well." I said right after.
"Alright then good luck with the rest of it!" Ary called out as she went back to her spot.
I turned a glared at Olivia. "What?" she asked. She went back to practicing as I did my Dragon Scales.
"I almost blew my cover..." I heard her think. What cover? I asked myself as Olivia adjusted her eye patch. She turned to me, and that's when I turned around and closed my eyes, changing them back.
"You okay Leah?" Olivia asked me. I opened my eyes a nodded. "Okay!" she smiled. I could tell she was hiding something, but what?
After we all said 'up' and got our brooms to our hands, we learned how to mount them. I got on and did a loop in the air. The others were watching and after I was done with my trick, everyone clapped.
"That was awesome!" Ary jumped up and down. Malfoy and Keen just gave me a glare. Madam Hooch clapped and walked up to me.
"That was very nice coming from a second year!" she said.
"Thanks!" I smiled.
"Your welcome! Now..." She turned to her class. My mind drifts off.
What could Olivia be hiding? I think when Madam hooch leaves.
What if her parents are death eaters or something. Maybe she can read minds thanks to her different color eyes. Or maybe, she is an animaltronic! Or however you call those. Doesn't matter. I need to find out what's going on! But why am I so desperate to find out what it is. Maybe it's just her personal business and I shouldn't worry about it.
I sigh knowing that I might be right. It's fine I'll just ask her later! I think as Madam Hooch finishes her lecture. I fly up on my broom again and start flying around. I'm really good at this! I thought and smiled. All of a sudden I had a feeling that something was behind me. I turned slightly to catch what looked like a ball. Everyone gasped as I struggled to hang on to it.
I quickly let go, took out my wand, and said "Wingardium Leviosa!" The ball started to float inches from the ground. "Who threw this at me?" I asked with a serious look. Everyone backed away and pushed Draco and Keen towards me. I glared and directed my wand up into the air. I stopped the spell, and hit the ball with the back of my broom as it fell.
It bounced off Draco and hit Keen, getting them both in the face.
"Oh gosh!" Mary jumped when she saw that.
"Hooray!" Some kids jumped up and down.
"Sorry! Accident!" I said. Of course I didn't mean it. Ary smirked as I flew to the ground. Madam Hooch smiled a little, but had a serious face when she saw Draco and Keen on the ground, in pain. She looked at the ball they threw at me, then she sighed.
