Year 2 Chapter 31 - Redwood with Ginger
I fly farther into the forest, but turn around at times to make sure I stay close to Hogwarts. I fly around for a while until my arm starts to hurt. It still needs to heal more. I slowly land and turn back to human as I look around. In front of me is the Whomping Willow. At least I think that's what it's called. I walk up to it and circle it until I find a knot in the roots. What's this? I ask myself. I take a step forward and get slapped in the face with what felt like wip.
"Ow!" I say as I get slapped again. I realize it's the Whomping Willow swinging its vines at me. A second later, I get the feeling of vines coming towards me. By instinct, I close my eyes and duck. Then I jump and do a flip in the air. I land on my feet and open my eyes. The Whomping Willow was trying to grab me. Without thinking twice, I run up the bark of the tree, jump, and catch a vine. I smiled as I swung around the tree. I then jumped and dived into the knot that I saw earlier, the Whomping Willow barely grasping my leg.
I start sliding down a tunnel that continues for a few minutes. I then unexpectedly rolled into a room and ended on my back.
"Shot..." I mumble. I had fallen on my shoulder that Olivia hurt. I used my other arm to get up and held it to my body for support.
I turned to see Redwood face to face with me.
"Hello Scamander, long time. No see." He says.
"Good afternoon Redwood!" I said cheerfully.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Oh um..." At that moment, I heard a faint yell as someone else was coming down the tunnel.
I had a feeling the person would fall on their face, so I swiftly took out my wand, and at the right time I said "Wingardium Leviosa!" I looked over at the tunnel to see Ginger floating in the air, with both eyes closed.
"Nice one!" Redwood said. Ginger slightly opened her eyes as I gently lowered her to the ground.
"Ah! Leah! Get away from him!" Ginger shouted.
"Who? Redwood? What are you talking about?" I laughed.
"This is NOT a joke Leah!"
"What do you mean? Either way, Redwood saved me the last time I saw him."
"What!? Trust me Leah! Step away from my dad!" She had a serious tone.
"Redwood..." I started. "What is she-" But I got cut off by Redwood himself.
"Stop!" He put me a in a bag and cast a spell.
"R-redwood! Put me down!" I said as black smoke surrounded me.
"Ginger! Help!" I yelped. The smoke turned white and as bright as the sun.
"Leah!" I heard a faint voice that sounded like Ginger, but I wasn't sure.
I quickly opened my eyes to see that I was in a wood room. What is this place? I thought. I stood up noticing the bag was gone, and I started to walk around. Rays of sunlight came through the dark wood the surrounded me.
"What are you looking for?" asked a voice. I recognized it.
"Pettle?" I asked turning around. There was no one there.
"That's right!" I heard another voice laugh.
"Opre?"
"Yes!" she said. I creepy face appeared in front of me. It was Opre, but her eyes were pure white. I backed away and turned to see another creepy face. It was Pettle. Her eyes were the same color as Opre's.
