Eden POV:
"So Black Water Ridge doesn't get a lot of traffic, mostly local campers," I tell Dean and Mel.
"And this past April two hikers went missing out there, they were never found." Sam continued.
"Any before that?" Dean asks us.
"Yup" I reply "In 1982, Eight different people vanished in the same year, authorities said it was a Grizzly attack."
"And again in 1959, and again, before that, in 1936." Sam said, "Every Twenty-three years, just like clockwork."
I pull my laptop out of my backpack and turn it towards everyone "Now watch this, here's the clincher, I downloaded that guy's video." I say as I press play.
"Do it again?" Dean says while looking closer at the video.
"Do you see it? That's three frames. It's a fraction of second" I say while examining their reactions.
"Whatever that thing is, it can move," Mel says while leaning back onto her chair.
"I told you something weird was going on," Dean says while he hits Sam's shoulder.
"We actually have one more thing," I tell them while motioning to Sam.
"In '59 one camper survived the supposed Grizzly attack, just a kid, barely crawled out of the woods alive."
"Is there a name?" Dean asked.
"Oh no enough sleuthing for me tonight! I'm heading to the hotel" Eden proclaimed.
"Suit yourself, we'll tell you what we find." Dean shrugged while getting up from his seat, followed by his brother.
"We won't be too late," Melody said while placing her hand on Eden's shoulder.
The group dropped her off at the Hotel, watching as she safely got into the room. As soon as Eden entered the hotel room she kicked off her shoes and landed on the bed closest to her. This is the longest she and Mel have been on a hunt, she was exhausted but the room is dark and felt lonely which didn't make Eden want to sleep. Besides being alone in a dark room, something felt off, something felt familiar. A small sense of dread has crept into her since they started hunting this thing. Something isn't right but she can't place it, making the girl stare at the ceiling trying to figure out what's scaring her.
Nothing scares her.
Darkness slowly filled all of the room as her eyes began to shut.
"Eden!!"
She knows those screams
"Help me"
This is familiar
"Run"
Stop screaming
"Eden!!"
No
With a gasp, Eden pops out of sleep and sits up covered in sweat, hair clinging to her cheeks.
"Wendigo" She mutters while reaching to grab her phone on the nightstand next to her.
