⚠️ Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics ⚠️
It was a warm summer evening. The sun was slowly beginning to descend behind the clouds and stars sprung from the darkness. There was a soft humming from down the hallway, Ceasar's room flooded with music that played over an old radio. He lay back on his bed, his eyes scanning the room slowly. How the light bounced off the walls. How slowly his chest deflated as he pushed the air out of his lungs. How his fingers curled around his own hair. He then remembered the headband tied against his forehead, and he sat upward. He untangled the long strap and set it aside, peeling off his gloves and scarf while he was up. Normally things weren't this peaceful. He found it strange how content he was, not bothering with any of his responsibilities, even ignoring his suppressants in a time he shouldn't have. He had a warm feeling in his stomach and he wondered if this is what relaxing felt like. He didn't normally listen to his urges, because his urges were Omega urges, which normally consisted of submitting, being lazy at home and cleaning. They were useless, disgraceful thoughts to have as a member of the Zeppeli bloodline, who had their long history of alphas and betas. Yet here Ceasar stood, being the first omega. Though right now he could give in to those urges because no one else was around. He couldn't smell it, but the distant smell of sunflowers and honey floated off of his skin.
He lazily glanced at the oak door to his room, something urging him to walk outside. Though he wanted so badly to rest he had trained himself against his omega so well, he wouldn't give in now.
He pushed his accessories aside and slowly opened the door, peaking his head out. He listened intently, squinting his eyes into the dark. He stepped out of the room and closed the door, the sound of classical music faded as he walked out into the hallway. He listened more and turned right, a shuffling noise coming from the courtyard. The grass shuffled, and it wasn't just the wind. He walked quietly, listening to the clap of his shoes as they hit the stone beneath him. A figure danced under the light out in the courtyard and Ceasar found himself on guard, crouching slightly as he rushed down the stairs. The figure stopped moving when Ceasar stood about 100 feet behind the stranger, putting his hands out in front of him ready to use his hammon, bubbles already surrounding him.
"Show yourself." He growled and watched the figure intently. As the stranger turned, the wind carried a familiar scent on it.
JoJo.. He thought, a look of relief glazed his face, a shiver running down his spine.
"Oh, it's only you, JoJo." Ceasar said with a wheezy laugh following his words at his own foolishness.
"How could you! Threatening me with your hammon like that!" Joseph snickered as he turned around, walking towards him slowly. Clearly there was something else on his mind.
"What were you doing out so late?" Ceasar asked and was left with no answer.
Ceasar paused, tilting his head as he waited for the other to speak.
"Did you smell that?" Joseph continued and lifted his head slightly, eyeing the courtyard around them.
Ceasar look at him, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"No, JoJo." Ceasar said softly and crossed his arms as he looked around as well.
"It's an Omega scent." Joseph said and stepped closer as he eyed the dark. Quickly Ceasar found himself stepping back, his legs nearly giving in beneath him.
"But the only Omega here is Suzie Q, and I'm sure she's not out and about at this hour." Joseph said and looked down at Ceasar with a shy smile.
"Maybe I'm wrong." He laughed slightly and shrugged. Ceasar stared up at him and swallowed hard.
"Yes, maybe." He said under his breath and turned around, starting towards the steps again.
"Why were you in the courtyard?" Ceasar asked again, quickly making his was back to his room.
"I could ask you the same question." Joseph said and looked back at Ceasar as he walked, tilting his head slightly.
"I was training." Joseph said simply and paused.
"But you weren't. Were you sneaking out?" Joseph asked with a grin, wiggling his eyebrows at Ceasar.
The blond scrunched his nose and shook his head.
"I was not sneaking out, I simply heard noises coming from the courtyard." Ceasar explained, yet Joseph stayed silent. Another sniff to the air and Ceasar held his breath. He kept moving, his heart racing.
"There's that scent again.." Joseph mumbled and unconsciously trailed behind Ceasar.
"Is it you, Ceasar?" Joseph asked and the blond stared at the stones in front of him as he walked faster.
"No it's not me!" He snapped in disgust. Suddenly a warmth snatched his arm and he looked back in shock. Joseph had a concerned look on his face and he stopped walking.
"It is you, Ceasar." Joseph said softly and caught the others face burning up. Ceasar blushed, his eyes wide before he pulled away.
"So what if it is!" He snapped and looked at Joseph. That caught the brunette by surprise. He swore Ceasar was a beta, he'd never shown any hint of omega.
"Ceasar calm down." Joseph said softly and let go of Ceasar's arm to give him space.
"It's surprising is all! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, or anything." Joseph laughed and opened his arms to hug Ceasar. There was hesitant silence before Ceasar hugged back, resting his chin on Joseph's shoulder.
"I apologise." Ceasar said and sighed softly. The others scent filled his mind and he felt a need that gnawed at his thoughts. The distant scent of rain and wet dirt got stronger and his eyes widened. He unconsciously pressed his lips against the others shoulder, his mind racing at the warm skin beneath him. Ceasar sighed with relaxation and felt Joseph hugging him closer, the others warm breath lingered against his neck. His need grew and he looked at Joseph, pulling away slightly. Their eyes met for just a moment and something hungry had both of them dazed.
"I'll admit you're a good looking Omega! I wonder why--" Joseph coughed put to try and distract himself to Ceasar mindlessly. Ceasar shuddered as he felt the others hands on his back. He looked at Joseph and caught his eye, his heart pounding.
"I..I have to go." Ceasar sputtered and pulled himself away from the other. He ran down the hallway. The fastest Joseph had ever seen him run. And he knew what he had done.
