.Epilogue.

~Queenie~

The last day of High School. Man, what a scary thing. I wasn't planning on going to college for another year so I could earn enough money to get along well. But that day, on the last day of school was the school graduation. Thousands of people were there. I was sure half of Illinois was there, the football field was so crowded. My gown was a dark blue and my cap was the same color with green and gold tassels. Whoever came up with the color scheme was going to die by my hand.

My boyfriend wasn't too happy about the color choice either. For a guy with an odd clothes choice, I wasn't surprised. When we were sitting in our seats, I made sure to give him a hug to make him feel better. Duckie had barely scraped by that year to graduate. With terrible grades, he had enough to get out of the school, though from my point of view, it was terrible and he needed a lot of support and help to get through the trying time. But, he had made it, thankfully, so I was able to watch him go up on the podium in his terrible clothes to get his degree. I'll admit, I did cry.

After we had thrown our caps into the air and split, there was a large party that everyone went to that Blane was hosting. Of course, Duckie and I learning a thing or two from our party experience, didn't go and went to the burger delly instead to eat. Duckie made me laugh so hard I snorted milk from my nose. That was when I realized that I would always love Duckie and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the goofball.

When we flash forward three years, it was my sophomore year of college. I had ended up going to Harvard, and worked hard to get there. Duckie ended up going to a college in state, which was less money, but he surprised me one weekend at my apartment in Massachusetts. That was where he proposed. To tell you the truth, I didn't finish school that year. We were married immediately and spent our honeymoon in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It was quiet and we had fun.

A few years later, we were gifted with triplets. Though the birth was hard, Stacey, Andie, and Philip Junior were wonderful kids. They went by animal names as well (which wasn't my choice).

Anyway, the overall point of this story is that I got my happily ever after. My philosophy is that no matter what your story is, it is always supposed to end up the way it is meant to. And even if I hadn't gotten the boy, I still would have been happy to live the life I was meant to.
