Chapter 5
My eyes went back to normal but I had no idea who was speaking for me. "Dad, how do you feel? Also, do you have any idea what in the hell that was? Because I couldn't stop it." I said in a panic. Hades closed his eyes and stood, offering me his hand. "That was my grandmother, Gaia. Your great grandmother." He said. "What does this mean, how can she even do this?" I asked. "Well, Gaia, she is the creator, the divine mother of all. She is our Goddess. She is the strongest being to have ever lived. That's how we all got our powers. She and Uranus had the titans, who then with Reha, our mother, bore us Gods. Since you were bred with another Goddess and two Gods, you are a new species in itself. You are stronger than a normal God and the titans, but not stronger than Our Goddess and God. We will soon find out what to call you. That is why our Goddess bound you to me. As your father it is my duty to protect you, your powers that you inherited from all of us are not partial like they used to be, they are whole, just like they would be if the original god were using them. Plus, you gained more when Gaia bound us, you gained all my other magic, and I gained yours. We are one in the same now."
Before I could even respond to my dad, Zeus came up and blind sided me with his lightening bolt. "I told you that you were coming home and I meant it!" he roared. "You no longer live in the Underworld! YOU ARE AN OLYMPIAN! YOU'RE NOTHING SPECIAL! HADES IS A GODDAMN LIAR! I could see the panic in Zeus's eyes. He didn't know that my dad let me see into the past. My dad looked Zeus square in the eyes and said "No more need for games brother, Ambrosia knows the whole truth. She was allowed to see the past when she touched the bolt and our Goddess appeared. I told you, she is half Hades, the older she gets the more powerful she will be. She belongs with me in the Underworld, where I can protect her, or else she can and she will unlock the memories to our brother Poseidon, your wife Hera, all of Olympus and whoever else you spelled. Don't push her Zeus." The look on Zeus's face alone said that he agreed I was to go with my dad to the underworld where I belonged, But I just couldn't help but feel that something was off. That this was too easy. I still think I need to unlock my mother and uncle Poseidon's memory. Something is telling me to do it. I think this time, I'm going to give in and listen, because I recognized the voice. It was my great grandmother, Gaia. All she kept saying was 'It's your time my dear Ambrosia. Remember this: By yourself you'll set them free, do not tell Hades or they'll flee."
I kept wondering why she wanted me of all people to break the spell. I was only 17, I haven't the first clue what to do or how to do it. I've barely got a grip on my magic as it is, I still have to have my dad stop me when I get out of control and she wants me to break a Gods spell. Great. Worst of all, she wants me to lie to my dad. I've never lied to him before. She said I couldn't tell Hades, but that doesn't mean I can't ask for help from Lucian. Just the simple thought of him gave me instant butterflies. I wondered what he was doing at this moment, was he in The Underworld? I'd know soon enough, because we're going to start our journey back to The Underworld as soon as Dad has all his strength back and we get something to eat. "Well, where do you think we should eat love?" asked Hades. "I'm craving something sweet, but I'm also craving fluffy chocolate chip pancakes and bacon." I said, knowing he would be thinking of the same spot I was. Our monthly routine at this small diner in the mortal realm. "Now how did I know you were going to say that. You're always craving some sort of chocolate. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner." Hades said teasingly. I held a hand to my heart pretending to be wounded by his comment. "Ouch, dad. You know, you're just as bad. They should just make it be a major food group. Then our problem would be solved "I laughed. We got into dads Chevy and took off for the portal. I've portal jumped many times, but I felt so off about this one, something isn't right since Gaia spoke to me. I knew I couldn't tell my dad, so I spaced out the window all the way to our destination. The closer we got, the worse the feeling got. I felt so suffocated, I started to sweat badly, almost as if I needed to release some of my magic. I clutched my fists shaking, the ends of my hair turning blue, I closed my eyes to steady myself. I could feel all the souls around me. It was so calming. Almost better than the ocean. If I focused hard enough on one of them, I could feel everything they felt, smelled what they were smelling, see what they were seeing. I was seeing the world in a different light and it was fucking amazing! "It's beautiful isn't it!" asked Hades. "Dad, this is, just breath taking, what is this?" I questioned. "I created this place about 2,900 years ago, I was young, trying to figure out my powers, my place in the world. Everything was rough for me. I was the black sheep of the family, so I needed a place I could get away from everyone, even your mother. So, I created this Realm called Necravian. Only powerful Necromancers like yourself and I can reach this place. It's a safe haven." He explained. I was still in awe of it all. "Why am I just learning about it?" I asked. "Well, sweetheart, you weren't ever supposed to find out about it. Nobody was supposed to. But because our powers are bound together, you can reach anywhere I can. You were in distress; my powers automatically float me there when they know I'm about to burst and hurt people when I'm not in my realm punishing people. Which brings me to my next question for you love, what made you so angry that you were going to rip thousands of souls out of people's bodies? Your aura is begging for war, and I love my nephew, but Ares is not someone I want to deal with right now and if he smells war he will come" He said with caution.
