Fuck, he knows something is wrong. Damn you Gaia. You can't bind us then tell me to keep things from him! I got to come up with a lie and fast. "Uh, I'm, I'm just, it's just a lot to take in" I stammered. "But to cause war little one?" He questioned. Shit. He didn't buy it. "Well, not just that, I'm pissed at father, Zeus, for stabbing you with his bolt, lying to me for 17 years and treating me like garbage. He could have just let me be with you my whole life and let you raise me" I said bashfully. "Yes. Yes, he could have, but remember I was a part of the choice too. I would have made a different choice if I had known it would take 17 years away from you knowing I was your main parent. I just wanted to keep you safe. I had no idea we would miss out on so much time. I am glad I got to be there even if it was just as your uncle hades. Your mom let me parent you as much as she could. That's why you spent a lot of the time "training" with me and staying summers. I made sure that when your magic wacked out that only I could help you. It kept me around and your father scared of you. Which is why I made you so powerful. I taught you things you weren't ready for, but you surprised me by doing them with ease, little one." He said with pride. I hugged my dad so tight and cried. I couldn't believe the Goddess and the God gifted me with such a loving and caring dad. I cried until I felt like there was no more, it was exhausting, I curled up against my dad and fell asleep.

"little one, wake up, were here." I heard my dad say softly. Man, I had a raging headache. "Dad my head hurts and I feel like Cerberus just sat on me. I don't know if I can even eat right now" I whined. My dad let out a big laugh "Oh darling, we're home. In the Underworld. I stopped at the diner and got our pancakes; we can eat them when you feel better." I just looked at my dad with the biggest smirk and said "you know, you got this parenting thing down" He laughed and said "well don't forget, I did raise Lucian since he was cast from earths heaven." Shit, Lucian. My heart was racing. I could feel the butterflies. I think I'm going to vomit. Is he here? Oh Goddess, I hope he doesn't see me looking like a hot mess. "Oh, haha, that's right, I forgot Lucian, where is he?" I asked, trying to play it cool. I'm really bad at this lying stuff. My face was probably 20 different shades of red right now. Gods this is embarrassing. "He should be getting home anytime, why don't you go lie down. Get some rest. I'll come get you in a bit sweetheart" He said.

Meanwhile, I was trudging to my room, exhausted and realized I had blood all over my clothes from the night before. I headed for the closet to get a towel when I heard the door slam. "Hey pops I'm home!" Lucian yelled. "In the kitchen" Hades yelled back. Oh shit, he's home. What am I going to do? I'm a mess. I hurried to the bath and shut the door louder than I anticipated. Fuck. I held my breath hoping he was to into talking to my dad to pay attention. "Uh, hey pops, is someone here? Lucian asked. "Yeah son, come in the kitchen, I need to talk to you about something" replied Hades. I waited until I couldn't hear footsteps any longer and I started the shower. I needed to hurry so I could see him. Hoping he would be happy to see me as well, but who am I kidding its Lucian Mourningside, he could have anyone, why would he choose me. Zeus's words repeating in my head "You're nothing special, Hades is a goddamn liar!" I swear those words would be imbedded in my thoughts forever. Just when I thought I had no more tears left to cry, I sunk to the bottom of the shower as I hugged my knees and watched the blood wash down the drain and bawled some more.

*knock knock knock*

With a trembling voice I asked "who is it?" "it's dad honey, what's wrong" he asked. "Dad, I'm fine, really, its just been a hard few days is all. I'll be okay, promise!" I said. "Well, if your hungry I'll warm up your pancakes" he offered. It was like my dad knew the way to cheer me up. "Yeah dad, that'd be great." I hollered back to him. "Be out in a minute." I hurried out of the shower, dried off and got dressed. I opened up the door and ran smack dab into Lucian's bare chest. "holy shit" I squealed. He laughed as he looked down on me. "Well, well, potty mouth" he teased. "shall I go tell father?" I stared at him with my mouth hung open not being able to utter a word. 'uh, hello... Underworld to Ambrosia" He said. "I, I'm sorry, I lost my words, I'm gonna go, make an ass out of myself in front of my dad instead" I said as I rushed off down the hall. I heard him laughing as I ran down the hall toward the stairs. I mean what the hell was that, the first time I see him in this house, outside of our god forsaken school and I have to go and fall ass over appetite. Lovely. "Oh, Hey, Ambrosia" Lucian yelled from the bathroom. I spun really quick to see what it is he wanted. With a horrified look I seen that he was holding up my underwear that I forgot to grab. He said with a wicked smile on his face "I believe these belong to you my love"
