Adrien POV:
This girl was determined, and possibly a bit crazy. She was going after her parents, and she wasn't going to stop. Unfortunately, that meant going against my father and his crazy crew.
Marinette set the course to Hawkmoths castle, and my ship was sailing at a top speed with really nice weather and great breezes to fill the sails. Everything was almost too perfect... Something was wrong.
Maybe Hawkmoth was waiting for her to arrive or something, because I knew he had a witch on his side that could change the weather, but other than that, he just had a really, really creepy staff.
I was about to tell Marinette that this was a bad Idea, but she had been looking for her parents since she was so young... I didn't want to resist her now... And speaking of resist, she was still not really going for me. She had confessed that she actually liked me, but she hadn't even wanted to get a small peck on the cheek. For the last few days, she hasn't gotten any sleep, so there weren't any bedding issues, but today was day 5 of no sleep for her, and she was getting exhausted.
I sat up in bed, getting away from my nightmares about Marinette wanting to be with the Evilistrator. That would never happen. She even told him that to his face! I felt really protective of her, and I was getting worried about her sleep. I got my regular clothes on and went to the kitchens to see Marinette already making breakfast.
"You're up already?" I asked, trying to act oblivious to her lack of sleep.
"Sure..." She said
"Look, I know you haven't slept in about five days now..." I said
"So? I can function quite fine without any sleep." She said
"No, Marinette, you need rest. You can't do this forever." I said
"I can't sleep with everything going on! What if we suddenly get attacked?" Marinette asked
"Then I would wake you up." i responded
"Yeah, good luck with that." She said
"I think I would be very good at waking people up." I said
"Boy, I slept through a hurricane. AND a tsunami before." She said
I stared at her "How are you still alive?" I asked
"I have great friends, and a lot of luck." She said, flipping the frying fish on it's other side and getting another
"Look, that's beside the point." I said "You just need sleep."
"I can still function well enough." She said
"Fine." I said
"What?" She asked, confused that I gave up so fast
"If you can beat me in a sword fight, I will let it go. But If I win, you have to sleep for at least one night." I said
She turned to me. "Deal, but after breakfast." She said
"Fine with me." I responded
She finished with the fish, and let everyone eat. After the meal, Marinette and I went to the main deck to fight.
"What are you two doing?" Alya asked
"Well, Marinette hasn't slept in five days, so we're deciding if she'lol take a rest, or if she decides to stay up longer." I said
"Oh, and I'm guessing Loverboy wants her to go to sleep because he's worried about his little princess?" Alya asked
"Ye— wait, WHAT?" Marinette screeched
