Chapter 24

"Chloe run!" Luka yelled as he transformed into Viperion.

Chloe's comb had fallen as the demons had gotten hold of both her and Luka. He managed for the demons to drop them and fight them off for Chloe to go get help. Picking herself up, she rushed into the dense trees hurriedly, pushing through the grasping branches as they clung to her hair and clothing. She was scratched, bruised, and bleeding by the time she heard the crash of her pursuers hacking their way into the forest behind it. It sounded as if they might tear the entire forest apart in their drive to get her. Chloe pushed onwards, shoving against a thick bush of intertwining of branches. When she did it gave way suddenly, seemingly sliding down and she began to tumble down a steep slope, landing with a splash in shallow murky water. Something entangled her and panic took over as she struggled to get whatever it was holding her to release her.

Pulling her face clear of the water she found that a new was laid across her head and shoulders. She sat there in the tepid water, catching her breath and listening for the sounds of her pursuers. The forest seemed eerily quiet suddenly.

"Chloe!" She heard her Kwami called her.

"Pollen!" Chloe yelled out and in seconds she saw her Kwami glowing with the comb.

Chloe then put on her comb to transform into Queen Bee. Then ran to find the crew

"Chloe, what happened?" Ladybug asked as the crew found her at the entrance of the cave catching her breath.

"Something took Luka!" Chloe's breath is heavy as she pointed out in the woods.

"What was he doing out there?" Alya asked as she looked out in the forest fog.

"Why were You out here Chloe?" Carapace asked.

"Uh," Chloe froze for a second, " we were going to switch for the lookout and next thing I knew, a monster was taking him away."

"The demons," Ladybug muttered quietly.

"He's gone now," Daphne says as she put on her cloak, "We must go."

"We can't leave Luka behind!" Kim growled towards her.

"This is the only way of getting him back." Daphne sternly says, "Let's go."

"Are we really taking orders from HER?" Chloe shouted in annoyance.

"I'm with Chloe on this one Ladybug." Rene Rouge commented as she went beside her.

"We have to save Luka!"Alix urged.

Ladybug nodded toward their opinion then looked at Daphne, "Luka is part of our crew. Where did they take him?"

"Its more like where did they left him," Daphne replied as she sighed hiding her face behind her cloak.

"Then we'll find him," Ladybug replied, "Chloe which direction were they heading."

"North from here," Chloe says as she pointed towards the forest.

"Then we'll go after him," Ladybug ordered as she set off the trail for the crew to follow.

"We can't go in as a big group," Felix suggested as he joined into the conversation.

"He's right," Chat Noir admitted, "its 11 of us. We have to split up."

Ladybug stopped in her steps to face Chat Noir, "we can't split up with those demons out there!"

"We can't be one group! It will be an easy target on our back lass!" He growls back.

"We don't have for this," Carapace argues, "we have to save Luka then the ocean."

Ladybug the stop to think, "Bunnyx, Pegasus, and Rene Rouge come with me with Chat and Felix. The rest of you follow with Daphne. We'll come in from the west and you guys in the east."
