Sitting in this enclosed space waiting for my brother and husband was tiring. I yawned and stretched out and clapped my hands together. "Can someone get me an energy drink, please?" I said aloud because I knew guys were listening. 2 minutes later a guy came in giving me an energy drink. I cracked it open and started drinking it trying to wake myself up.
I hugged myself trying to gain warmth from how cold it was in the room. I was wearing some skinny jeans that had rips on the thighs as I had a tank top and hoodie on. I shivering in this fucking room and it pissed me off by the second. "Where are my husband and brother?" I said aloud and hear the speakers turn on. "They both just arrived Mrs. Shaw." The guys said and I sighed in relief. "Finally, I thought I was going to go insane in here," I said to myself.
I heard a door click on both sides of the enclosed space. One side had my brother than the other had my husband. They both locked eyes and stopped at either end of the table while I sat awkwardly between the two.
"No fucking way!" They both said in unison making me sigh. "Guys, can we please just sit down?" I said but knowing my luck they wouldn't listen. "Nah, I'm not working with this guy. I've been there done that." Luke said making me huff. "Can you guys please sit?" I was pleading at this point but still didn't listen to me. "Baby, the minute he gets involved, you can kiss goodbye to anything because She-Hulk here, only knows how to smash," Deckard said making my anger start boiling. I was about to reach out and smack both these idiots if they didn't shut up. "Yeah, Mr. Arson here only knows how to blow shit up," Luke fired back. I was at my edge, I was about to blow up and kill someone if these two didn't shut up. "The fact is, no offense. This guy is a real asshole." They both said in unison pointing to each other and looking through the glass where two guys were standing.
"That's sumbitch in your native tongue," Deckard said making me smile. "That's wanker in your native tongue," Luke fired back. "Are you finished blubbering? You sound like a giant tattoed baby." Deckard said nearly making me start laughing but I held it back. "You know what, I'm not listening to this horse shit, I got a job to do. Tell your mom I said hi. Actually, I'll tell her myself." Luke said making me shoot him a glare. "Don't you dare talk about my mum," I growled making Luke surprised from me being so protective over Mag. "Secondly, I'll have this job done before you're done putting on your baby oil," Deckard said triggering me to lose it.
"I've had it! You two can't even sit in the same room because of your fragile egos. My sister and laws life is at risk and you two can't see that. I'm sick and tired of you two acting like children. Second of all, I'll have this job done before both of you even get a trace of her." I said walking out punching the fiberglass making it crack.
I got outside and hopped on my motorbike. The first place I would check would be Hattie's apartment. It was getting dark so I could sneak in pretty easily. Once I arrived it was night time and I parked down the street from the apartment building. I had a clear view of her apartment and I saw her exit. She looked around anxiously but kept walking, putting her hood over her head. I followed from a far distance back trying not to get her attention.
Suddenly I pulled in front of her making her yelp in surprise. I wasn't given enough time before she was running away. I chased after her but with her vaulting over cars was not helping. She ran into a hotel making me get off and park my bike. I took my helmet off and sprinted after her following her make her way out back down a dark alley. She ran down some stairs trying to get in a car but I stopped her.
"Hattie!" I yelled and she saw me. Her eyes showed panic and anxiety from being chased down by me. "Hattie, I only want to help you. Just come with me and we can get you immunity. Where is the virus?" I said and her eye furrowed. "You think I took it?" Her British accent coming out very low. "I'm not saying you did but you were the first suspect so I need to ask you," I said and didn't seem convinced. "Nicole, I didn't take the virus," She said and I nodded. "Okay, then who did? What happened to it?" I asked and lifted her hand showing a purple marking. "It's in my blood. I'm trying to find the person who made it," She said and took a step closer. "We have info on that man, now if you come with me I can share that info with you but you can't tell anyone," I said and she looked hesitant but did as I asked.
We started walking back to my bike but Luke showed up stopping us. "Lots of nasty people looking for you," Luke said but I moved between the two. "Luke, she's willing to come in. Leave her be." I said defensivly. He backed off and she got a ride with him while I rode my bike. I decided to go home real quick and check if everything was good.
When I arrived outside the front door was open. I shut off my bike and slowly walked to the front door. I walked inside and saw a few men going through my stuff my house destroying furniture and the countertop and such. I snuck up behind one guy and put a gun to his head while I whistled getting the other's attention. They all turned to me and had a scared expression. They were just kids but doesn't mean you break into MY house and destroy MY furniture.
"You'll be lucky if I don't kill all your kids because I have no problem doing it, Now, I suggest you scurry out of here before my husband gets back." I growled and they all ran out. The kid I was holding was shaking and I let him go and he sprinted out of the house.
I looked around at all the damage and huffed in anger.
