"Deckard, some kids destroyed our house," I said rubbing my tired eyes while I leaned on a wall looking at the ground. After the entire ordeal at the house, I came back to the CIA black site and have been waiting to interrogate Hattie, well only ask a few questions. "Fuck! Um, okay, did you call someone to fix it? We can pay for it but I don't want to see it because I'm scared I might lose my shit." He said honestly which made me chuckle. "Ya, I did but I have been at the black site since then," I told him and he hummed in response.

"Did you get any info from Hattie's apartment?" I asked him. When Luke, Deckard, and I went off to try and find Hattie, Deckard went to her apartment and got into some trouble but took them out, like usual. "No, other than fighting those guys and seeing grenades laced all over the entrances, nothing." He said and I sighed completely at loss. Nothing was making sense and I wasn't able to put anything together.

"Why would she do it, Deckard. Like, Hattie isn't dumb so why is she doing this?" I question not being very specific but I knew Deckard knew what I meant. "Niki, I don't understand either but I'm almost at the black site. Once I get there I will talk to Hattie and figure this out, okay?" He asks and I smile from him being so soft.

"Why don't I get this soft side of Deckard? I only get him like...once every three months." I tease and he chuckles. "Well, if you keep acting like that you won't. I gotta go but I love you." He says with a chuckle but I stop him.

"Wait!"

"What?"

"Can you get me coffee?" I ask and he sighs but I could already see him smiling from my childish antics. "Yes, I can get you coffee, the usual?" He asks and I smile ear to ear and hum a response. "Can I get one more thing?" I ask innocently and he hums in response.

"Can I hear you say it?" I ask and he instantly responds with "No," I just pout over the phone. "Come on babe. It'll make me happy." I make my voice sound like a baby and he sighs. "Baby Shark," He said in a plain bored tone making me go into a giggle fit. "You, my love are childish." He says making me giggle and smile.

"You know I love you right?" I say looking down at the floor looking at the floor that was a plain grey carpet. If I had the choice, I would actually add some colour to the place, it looks so...dead? "Absolutely, but do you know I love you?" He asked making me smile. "I love you," I say softly and I heard him sigh in comfort but disappointment very evident.

"Why can't we just go back to not needing to save the world? I just want to wake up to you and not have big priorities on my mind other than seeing mum. It was all fine until my sister had to do something dumb. I love her but whatever she did better be a good reason from taking time away from you." He complained making a sad frown appear on my face. I had never heard Deckard be this frustrated with not being able to be with me alone.

"Honey, she's family. Just like Dom, Tej, and Roman. We help family, even if they do stupid stuff that gets us involved." I said and he sighed. "I know I...I just want to be with you and not have to deal with all this shite." He said making me smile slightly. "Soon, but let's get this job done then we can relax. All right?" I ask pushing off the wall walking towards the interrogation room. "All right. You said you wanted coffee right?" He asked making me chuckle. "Yes, babe. I love you." I said with a big smile. "I love you too. I'll be there in 6." He said then hung up. I put my phone in my pocket entering the interrogation room where Hattie was waiting.

I sit in the chair across from her to see her looking down slightly disappointed. "Hattie, look at me," I say softly and she hesitantly looks up meeting my gaze. There was something in her eyes that was trying to speak, but she just didn't seem to be able to get it out in words.
