You looked at yourself in the mirror, satisfied with the clothes you had on then you turned around and checked your backpack to make sure you took everything you may need while out.

You had put a bottle of water as well as some chips and other salty snacks that had happened to be at home along with a  thin jacket in case the weather gets windy cause even though it's summer, sometimes the nights can get a bit chilly there, especially after midnight. Not that you were planning to stay out that late since you had no reason to. You would just take a walk around till the night settles then you would return home for dinner.

After you checked everything, you zipped the bag and put it on your shoulders before grabbing your headphones and letting them hang on your neck. You plugged them on your phone before putting the device on your front pocket, planning to turn the music on after you step out of the house as you had to greet your parents before going and as such you had to be able to hear them.

"Mom~ Dad~ I am going~" Your voice echoed as you were going downstairs not being sure yet in which room were they but once you reached the bottom of the stairs you saw them in the living room, in front of the Tv.

"Take care honey~. Dinner will be ready till ten." Your mom reminded you and you waved at her before telling her that you will be back by then.

The time was eight now so two hours of wandering alone while listening to music would be more than enough to clear your brain and to give you some quality time with yourself.

You stepped out of the door and placed your headphones on immediately, turning the music on at the max volume then you set off to your right, thinking of passing by your old middle school and the playground which you used to go at when you were younger. The school wasn't so far from your house so it didn't take you long to arrive there however since it was summer, the main gate was closed. Not that you couldn't just climb and jump over the railings as you used to do often back then but you decided to not go inside.  You didn't have any reason to do so whatsoever after all.

Maybe when I bring a basketball along, I will.

You thought to yourself as there were basketball hoops in the back yard of the school which you used to visit at school recess or at gym classes when the teacher asked of you to. Even in summers you with your friends used to come to play games as this was the only sports field around the place. However after middle school was over and you and your friends started growing up, the routines you had started changing drastically along with their characters and behavior. Of course, you couldn't say that they were the only ones that changed, you had changed as well and that was the reason that you had chosen to not be friends with them anymore.

High school was hell, having them around all the time while being caged in that old friendship that had ended up only bringing you more troubles and pain as after they made new friends at the high school which was located in the city, you had become like a second option. They didn't talk to you much while at school but on the bus or back to your town, they were still your friends. Or so they used to claim.

"The heck are you remembering of that again huh!" You scolded yourself in between your teeth as you started walking away from there, trying your best to focus your thoughts on the lyrics and the melody that was playing in your ears.

You succeeded after a while, ending up humming the lyrics while walking to the direction of the playground which used to be a favorite spot. There were two swings there in which you always liked to sit on and compete with yourself at how high you could reach.

The thought of doing that again while listening to music got you really excited so your pace got faster, in an attempt to feel that breeze rushing to your skin as quickly as possible. In your own trail of thoughts as you were, you failed to hear the chatters and waves of laughter that were coming from that place, and only after you turned around the corner -where you could take a good view of the playground- you halted your feet, noticing that the place was occupied by non-other than the people you didn't want to meet.

Fear came rushing inside you as you stood frozen in place for a bit then quickly turned around to leave. Unfortunately, though they had noticed you and one of them had called out to you however you hadn't listened because of your headphones. You didn't hear them talking about how they should come and get you either nor you heard two of the guys on the group, getting up and running towards you.

You had speed up your pace and your senses had bagged you enough to take a look behind you for a  moment, not knowing that they had taken notice of you yet but as you did so you discovered that not only they had noticed you but two of them were already running after you and the sight of them approaching made you panic.

You remember well the last time you were at their presence, and it was far from a pleasant moment so you reflexively started running away as fast as you could. Your heartbeat was echoing loudly in your ears after a while of running, even though your music was still so loud somehow you were unable to hear the melodies.

Your breathing had started being messy as you were getting tired but you were afraid to stop as you didn't know if they were still chasing after you or they had given up on approaching however you took the answer to that, as when a song came to an end - at that small pause of the sound that it needs to transition from one song to another- you heard your name being called again.

At that moment you thought that was pointless of trying to avoid them. Maybe by doing so you seemed as pathetic as they had back then made you feel. Maybe facing them and giving them a normal greeting would have been something more reasonable for you to have done since there was no way they would still know that you may still be scared of them in any way. And the truth was you really didn't want to be scared of them or anything but you also couldn't deny that you weren't completely over it either.

Even though your thoughts were in a messy state, your legs kept getting you farther as much as they still had the strength to do so, till your steps came to an unexpected halt as you bumped into someone's hard chest. You collided so hard that your headphones fell off your ears and hang on your neck and you would have fallen too if it wasn't for the arm that had managed to get a good hold of your waistline, preventing you to fall backward on the concrete.

"Y/N?" Jungkook uttered your name surprised by your presence as much as you were by his then his eyes averted to the two guys that stopped at a close distance from you two.

You quickly gathered yourself and stepped away from his hold, avoiding to look back at the two guys for a moment then you took a deep breath and faced their way, pretending to be surprised.

"Oh! It was just you guys. I thought some strangers were chasing me." You gave your excuse while laughing a bit while in your head you were trying to think of a way for all them to not take you with them and for the situation to not seem suspicious to Jungkook who was practically still a stranger that you weren't sure if he could be trusted.

"Y/N~ You silly~ Of course it's just us." The guy on the left smiled as he approached more towards you and the guy on the right followed his friendly example by coming next to you and placing his arm on your neck.

"We missed you so much~" He said as he pinched your cheek and you fell silent, frozen by his unwanted touch and close proximity.

Jungkook gazed at you for a moment and as he failed to gatch your eyes he understood that something seemed off with your behavior so he decided to act on his instinct, grabbing your wrist and pulling you on his side, away from that guy's grip.

" Y/n baby. Won't you introduce your friends to your boyfriend." He said, his words getting you as surprised as it got your so-called friends.
