"And in the morning you forgot everything," Alex finishes and Allie stares, dumbfounded.

"That...actually sounds exactly like me," Allie admits and then squints at Bruce. "You threw yourself off a couch while bleeding profusely for me?"

"Yes."

"That is so sweet but Bruce in the future know any and all material objects mean nothing next to your wellbeing or yours for that matter Alex." The two hardened vigilantes struggle to hold stoic poses at her kind words before giving in and gazing at her with complete affection and adoration. This bouncing girl has somehow managed to gain the devotion of Gotham's fiercest defenders and she didn't even have to try. "And you should both know that if for whatever reason I am harmed again in anyway it is not on either of you and I will never in my life ever blame either of you for any harm befalling me."

"That is very sweet Allie," Alex chokes out and elbows Bruce to stop him from airing a cynical remark. She too is tempted to argue with Allie's promise but now isn't the time.

"Now, can I please go to bed? I think we can table my weird new abilities discussion for a later time."

"Of course Allie, whatever you need," Alex responds and the girl's wheelchair begins rolling away seemingly by itself, when in reality it is her vectors.

The second she exits the room and is out of earshot Gyspy Sentinel and Batman share matching looks of baffled disbelief and exhaustion.

"That went as well as to be expected," Bruce decides and Alex nods.

"You're right."

"What do you think she'll want to do about her powers?" Bruce poses and Alex shrugs.

"Does it matter? I mean as long as she isn't hurting anyone or exposing herself then she can do as she pleases."

"Agreed."

"There is something I need to address," Alex emits after a moment of quiet.

"What's that?"

"If you hurt her I have 61 plans to fuck you up," Alex threatens in an utterly serious tone with eyes like a massacre.

"And I have 62," Bruce counters and Alex nods in approval.

"Good answer," she praises.

"One question."

"Shoot," Alex invites.

"We're friends right, partners?"

"Yes, where are you going with this Wayne?"

"If she hurts me how many plans do you have to fuck her up?" he poses and Alex crosses her arms.

"13." Bruce appears stunned, he thought she would have none. "What? Bruce we're close but Allie is, she's Allie and she's been by my side since birth practically."

"No! No it's not that, I thought you would have none."

"Oh." Alex sighs and moves forward to hug Bruce. It's awkward as they are both hardened vigilantes but it shows what they both mean. "You matter to me, Bruce Wayne."

"You matter to me Alexandra Aldridge," he returns.

"And Allison Gray matters to us both. Now get off me!" Alex snaps and playfully shoves the man off. "Oh and get some ice, Allie definitely gave you a black eye."

"I know and I don't get it. How could she pack enough of a punch to give me a shiner?" he huffs.

"What can I say? Star Trek really gets her amped up."
