Chapter 24 Supervillain

"So, you mad at me?" Alex asks and Allie giggles.

"No, you were right."

"Damn straight," Alex puffs proudly and waves Allie in the door before facing Bruce. "I trust you treated her right?"

"You know I did."

Alex gives Bruce a warm side hug and leans into him, putting her head on his shoulder while they watch Allie go inside.

"I'm glad she knows," Bruce reveals and Alex hums in agreement.

"I am too."

Both hardened vigilantes have worries about her safety and involvement but in the end Allie knowing has brought them all closer together. Alexandra Aldridge, Allison Gray, and Bruce Wayne have been a seamless trio in the business and socialite world since Allie moved to Gotham but now Gypsy Sentinel, Batman, and Allison Gray can become an epic trio in the underworld.

Things are coming together, they are coming together as a team and so much more.

Of course it has to all fall apart.

III A Little Over Two Months Later On A Monday III

"Allison Gray! Allison Gray you come into my office right now!"

When the angry voice of Alexandra Aldridge echoes through the office all go silent but only for a moment. Allison Gray stands utterly still, contemplating fleeing for her life but she knows Alex would catch her. Allie inhales and handles it the only way she ever has.

"Me come here!? What have I done to possibly offend you now bitch?!" she fires back and stomps into Alex's office, matching her friends energy.
The other members of the executive team chuckle and continue about their business, Alex and Allie usually bicker like this.

In Alexandra Aldridge's office the eponymous boss herself is tapping her foot and frowning with arms crossed over her chest.

"Am I speaking to Allison Gray the reasonable adult or am I speaking to Allison Gray the bumbling teenager?" Alex deadpans and Allie clams up, she knows what this is about now.

"He told you."

"Alfred told me after he found Bruce lying face down on the floor moaning 'oh how I've offended her!' Allie you broke the poor man!" Alex scolds and Allie bites her lip.

"Oh I never meant to make him upset!" Allie exclaims and wrings her hands, regret filling her heart.

"Really?! I would never have guessed! The man shows up to our house with flowers and a dream fairy queen dress to ask you to a gala as his girlfriend and what did you do?" Alex rants and stops short, waiting for Allie to confess.

"I gave him the finger guns and sprinted out the backdoor," Allie mumbles in shame. She hangs her head, her cheeks flushing red and guilt churning in her gut. "I never meant to hurt him."

"Then why did you say no? Allie you and the man literally confessed your feelings for each other and have been going on dates every other night. Becoming his girlfriend is the next step and I know you want that because I know about your deep feelings for him," Alex continues and stops to assess Allie's expression. The tears welling in her eyes are catching her off guard and making her curious to why Allie did this.

Alexandra Aldridge softens and takes her friends hand leading her to sit on the office's plush couch.

"Allie you know you can tell me anything. Please just tell me why you panicked, why you're edging away from Bruce."
