Bruce Wayne comes to the door like a proper gentleman, Alfred didn't raise no disrespectful boy and also because the girl(s) he's picking up happen to be his crush(es) and one of them is in a wheelchair.

When he knocks the door is swung open instantaneously with Dike and Eirene standing behind and wearing matching grins.

"Hi Bruce," they greet.

"Before anything else you should know we have different names now. I'm Dike and she's Eirene," Dike introduces and Eierene twiddles her fingers at him.

"Dike and Eierene, would the original by any chance be called Eunomia?" Bruce inquires and they nod. "The Horae, more specifically those of order, I like it."

"Thought you would," Dike murmurs, a flirty glint in her eye.

"Dike, hold your horses," Allie chides as she rolls up, a bag in her lap. "Now grab your bags, a busy day is ahead." Dike and Eirene dutifully grab their backpacks and pass by Bruce to climb in the back of his very nice Tesla. Bruce grins at Allie and leans down to kiss her cheek before grabbing the handles of her chair and helping her out to the car and then into the passenger's seat.

While he loads the chair into the backseat Dike and Eirene snicker.

"We have him charmed."

Allison Gray cannot control the smile that grows on her face or the butterflies that erupt in her stomach. It has been a very long time since she's felt this way but this time the feeling is better because Bruce is good and Alex is alive.

III Friday Afternoon III

Halfway through the day Alexandra Aldridge calls the Sentinel, more specifically Allison Gray's extension.

"Alex! Are you feeling better?"

The response to Allie's question is a hacking cough.

"I'm taking that as a no," Allie utters and winces sympathetically.

"I'm not making it to that business dinner tonight," Alex rasps and Allie gasps.

"I totally forgot about that! Alex, don't worry I will cancel that," Allie assures.

"N-no," Alex coughs out. "You go."

"Alex I am not facing those journalists alone. I love Vicki but she's intimidating," Allie hisses intently.

The dinner is supposed to be with Vicki Vale and her ring of freelance writers in hopes of securing more steady contracts.

"Bruce will go, Vicki loves him."

"Bruce? Alex are you sure about that?"

"Allie I need you to do this for me, go to dinner with Bruce and a bunch of journalists for your sick wife," Alex presses, tugging on all the right strings.

"Alright, I'll go. You're lucky I love you."

"Love you too!"

Alex hangs up and Allie groans, hanging her head down low. Going to a business dinner with a bunch of journalists with the billionaire playboy she just confessed her feelings for when both her and the playboy are affluent and relatively popular players in Metropolis is not her ideal Friday night.

Allison Gray stays late at the Sentinel to tie up a few loose ends so Madison Maple drives her home with the plan for the twins being that Bruce would drop them off when he came to pick Allie up for the dinner.

"Alex, Alex my love are you sure you don't want me to stay in with you tonight?" Allie asks for the hundredth time as she adjusts the strap on her heel. Allie has been half getting ready and half running across the mansion to check on Alex; at the moment she has hopped to Alex's door on one foot, one vector, and attempting to wrangle a heel on her foot while balancing and talking to Alex.
