Hour Eight

We walked over and found a spot to sit on on the lower part of the cafe, where there was a little garden and a canopy made to look vineyard-esque.

My hands grew clammy again, not used to the warmth it was getting. Once Justin took hold of my hand, he never once let it go.

"Hindi mo talaga bibitawan 'yan? Chansing ka rin, ah?" I kidded. He replied with the same grin he has given me since before, and playfully shook his head no.

Out of curiosity, I asked - "Bakit dito?"

He hummed gently, calmly looking over at the dark horizon as the sun had already set. Way past sunset, at seven in the evening.

My heart twisted a little at his reply.

"I always envisioned our first date here. Hindi mo lang talaga ako pinapansin dati." He smiled melancholically, and he held my hand just a little tighter.
