Hour Eleven
Our walk took more than the intended 30 minutes, as we arrived at the inn around 10pm.
The place we found, despite being situated in such a secluded space, prided itself by being modern and chic. Yellow-ish ambient light flooded the waiting area, which blended well with the art pieces hung on the walls.
I bit on my fingernails, and unconsciously started tapping my feet as I waited for Justin to finish transacting our rooms.
Alas, a shadow covered my view of the ground as he walked towards where I was seated.
He took off his hat and impatiently put it on again, somehow showing exasperation - "You're gonna hate me for this... pero isa na lang daw yung room na natitira," he blurted as he held up the one keycard he was holding.
Me and him? In one room?
This isn't what I signed up for.
