Hour Twenty
It didn't take long. The mechanic's place was close to the inn we stayed at, and he immediately catered to our needs as we were his first customer for the day.
Justin and I sat together on the side of the side of the road. One of his arms rested right along the side of my waist - and I, of course, didn't mind. His acts of subtle skinships has now made me less worried and more "together."
"Mabilis na lang 'to, hijo't hija... Hindi naman komplikado ang sira ng sasakyan," the mechanic explained. He busied himself once again by fixing the busted tire, and screwing the new one in place.
In a few minutes, the mechanic walked over to us to discuss what went wrong and transacted the payment.
However, before he left, he had to remark with a friendly, father-like smile. "Bagay kayong dalawa... 'Wag mo n'yo na pakawalan ang isa't-isa ha?"
