ch.3 -son and daughter

Padmé held her son in her arms.
"Where is your father? Daddy better get here before your sister does..."

As if on queue, Anakin entered the suite. He stared at the baby in Padme's arms. "Is, is that-"

"Yes, Ani. This is your son."

Anakin's tears streamed. He ran to Padmé and picked up his wonderful son. As he rocked him, Padme noticed that his eyes were blue, like his father's.

Then she screamed in pain.

"Padmé! What's wrong?!?!"

" We," she gasped for air,"we're having twins!"

She grabbed anakin's waist as she went into labour... again.

The medical droid picked up Padme's daughter and introduced her to them, saying, "it's a girl!"

"What should we name them?" Padmé asked Anakin.

Anakin was so grateful to Padmé for having his children. He could only imagine the pain of childbirth, the struggles of pregnancy.

" You can name them. I'm sure that whatever you pick, it will be beautiful"

Padmé  thought about this. She wondered what names would be worthy of these to amazing children. Then she remembered the the name of one of her favorite decoys: Leia. Leia was smart and passionate, a suitable name for her daughter, who had cried since she was born.

"The girl shall be named, Leia"

Then padme thought of names that complimented 'Leia'. She thought of 'Luke', because it sounded wise and strong.

"And the boy is... Luke."

Padme saw Anakin smile at Leia. Then, He kissed Padmé's forehead.

Then they heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," said Anakin, handing luke back to Padmé.

It was Obi-wan. He hugged Anakin.

"Congratulations, my old padawan."

Anakin could not explain the way he felt. It was a joyful relief that he didn't have to keep his marriage a secret anymore, at least to his best friend.
He finally had someone he could confide in about his tremendous love for Padmé.

Now, Padmé on the other hand, had no idea Obi-wan knew. She just layed there on the hospital bed, very very confused.

Anakin could sense her confusion.

"Don't worry Padmé, he knows"
