Chapter 19

The next day, I woke up in a really good mood. I pushed myself into the front room humming my favourite song as Nathan turns and smiles at me.

"Someone's in a good mood." He says as I giggle and give him a quick kiss.
"Got any plans today? I was wondering if we could go and see Soya at the farm. We haven't been for about a month." I say as Nathan nods.
"Of course we can, love. I'll ring the farm now and arrange a time to go. Is 1pm okay?" Nathan asks as I nod.
"Perfect, thank you." I say before going into the kitchen and making myself some toast.

After buttering my toast, I go back into the living room to see that Nathan was watching some sort of documentary on the discovery channel. I smile and start to watch it with him before I have to get ready to go to the farm.

Once I was ready, I wheeled myself outside as Nathan helped me into the passenger seat of the car. He got in beside me after putting my wheelchair in the boot and started the car.

"What do you want to listen to?" He asks as I connect my phone and put on a playlist I made.
"I made a specific playlist for the car. It's got both of our favourite songs on it so, it should be good." I say as he smiles and starts driving to the farm.

The goat farm wasn't too far away from where we lived. About 15mins after we got in the car, we arrived at the farm and Nathan helped me into my wheelchair. He pushed me through the entrance as we got shown where Soya was.

"Hi little boy." I say as he walks up to me and I start to pet him, "Aren't you growing into a gorgeous boy?" I say as Nathan goes to talk to one of the supervisors, leaving me to bond with my goat.

I keep letting Soya, letting him nuzzle his face into my hand. He was beautiful and so mesmerising. I loved the way he ran up to me when he sees me and the way the black spots on his fur go perfectly with the white spots.

"You having fun?" I hear Nathan say from behind me as I nod.
"Yeah, I missed him." I say as Nathan smiles.
"Looks like he missed you too. Looks like you got a new favourite friend." Nathan says as I shrug.
"He's my favourite goat. Jackson is my favourite friend." I say as Nathan fakes hurt.
"I'm not good enough to be a favourite?" He asks as I giggle.
"You're not a favourite, Nathan. You're much more than that." I say as he leans down and kisses me softly.
"I know." He whispers as I smile, "You ready to go?" He asks as I nod.
"Yeah." I reply as I pet Soya once more, "See you soon cutie." I say as Nathan helps me to the car before we start the short drive home.

Once we got home, Nathan picked me up and placed me on the sofa, placing my legs onto of his as we watched some random programme on TV. I started to get into it but the got distracted by a knock on the door.

Nathan gets up and answered the door as I look up and see Jackson stood there with Ethan.

"What's up?" I ask as Jackson and Ethan smile at each other.
"We wanted to, personally, invite you guys to our wedding." Jackson says as I look at Nathan before looking back at Jackson.
"Are you joking?" I choke out as they shake their heads.
"We're getting married!" Jackson exclaims as I squeal excitedly and Jackson leans down to hug me tightly.
"I'm so happy for you, Jax! Congratulations you guys!" I exclaim as Jackson pulls away and I hug Ethan too.
"Congratulations." Nathan says shaking both Jackson and Ethan's hands and they sit on the opposite sofa.

They stay to catch up and discuss the wedding with us a little while long net before they go back to theirs to keep planning. Jackson also asked me to hold the rings for him and Jackson at the ceremony, which I was so honoured and agreed.

I can't believe it.

My best friend is getting married!
