Chapter 3

I was practically dragged into school by my brother this morning as I refuse to get out of bed when he woke me.

Eyes barely open, I stumble to my locker where Hally, Julie and Rachel were waiting on me chatting away.

They stopped talking ince I reached them and all turned to look at me.

"Holy shit what happened to you" Julie blurted out.

I scowled at her. "Gee thanks"

"You look like crap" Rachel piped in.

"Well if you must know I didn't get much sleep last night"
"Uuuuhg! We're you out with Rick last night? What time did you even go to sleep at?!" Hally and the girls looked furious.
"Ummm..... Around 6?" I looked down.

"Alexis  Carter I swear to fuck if you keep this up we are going to murder you, you're not sleeping and your hanging around with scum and it's just not good for you babe" Julie shook her head and the other girls nodded in agreement.

"Don't talk about him like that! You know what fuck you guys I've always supported your relationships and choices" I slammed my locker shut and stormed of in the opposite direction.

"C'mon Lexi" I heard them yell after me.

I made my way to the back exit of the school and took my smokes out of my bag.

Ye ye smoking a a disgusting nasty habit blah blah blah.

I only really started doing it when I met Rick.

I took out my lighter and lit one , taking a long drag.

I exhaled the smoke and threw my head back in exhaustion.

When I looked back in front of me , my eyes widened seeing my brother and his friends walking towards the door in which I was standing beside.

I panicked , about to throw away the cigarette when he snapped his head towards me his smile dropping when he saw what I was doing.

"Lexi What the hell " he yelled furiously.

His friend stood back not to knowing what to say about Adams sudden outburst.

"What" I said dropping the lit smoke and the ground and standing on it.

Smokings not really that big a deal but Adam HATES it , our Grandpa had died from throat cancer 4 years back after smoking for 50 years and Adam swore he'd never smoke in his life and he'd never let me.

He and Gramps were pretty close.

I crossed my arms over my chest and avoided eye contact with not only him but with a familiar pair of blue eyes I could sense staring at me.

The bell rang signalling the beginning of class so I quickly opened the door.

"Don't tell mom and dad" I quickly said.

Turning back towards the door I caught a glimpse of Luke still looking at me.

I practically ran to class eating a piece of gum on the way to cover up the smell of smoke and nicotine.

Once I reached my first period I decided to sit down the back of the room away from my friends as I was still pissed at them.

A minute later a very familiar blonde who I had only seen moments ago took a seat next to me.

Shit , I forgot we were in the same grade.

I slumped down in my seat. This was going to be a long day.
