Chapter 13: Greed/Anger

Elsa

"Useless! How are you one of my horsemen and you couldn't even trick one little human!" I hear Lucifer yell at Famine who kept his head down like a child getting yelled at by his father. "He is stronger then I thought master..." Famine says quietly but I could hear them clearly. "There is a reason I put you in that circle, and now, you're going to be trapped there until I die, and trust me that won't come soon." Lucifer says and before Famine could even say anything, Lucifer snapped his fingers and Famine was gone.

"Your plan not working out for you Luci?" I yell down from my cage making him look up. "I would stay quite if I were you angle, your human still has six circles left. And I will make sure he dose not make it." He answers but I just glare, knowing damn well that Jack will keep fighting.

"His not as weak as you thought is he?" I ask making him turn his head from me. "Come on Lucifer, just end this, let me go and let Jack have his life back." I answer only to feel heat on my face making me close my eyes. When I open them, I saw Lucifer in his true form, a fire demon who had no soul left in him. "This is not the end! I will prove that I am the strongest! That a human will not beat me again!" He yells in my face but I stand my ground, trying not to show fear in my face even though I could feel my hands start to shake.

"You let Dante past, why?" I ask making Lucifer slowly turn back into his 'human' form. "From what I heard, he came to prove himself right? Jack in here to save someone he loves, so why should Dante walk out of Hell but you... You are hoping that Jack dies. Why?" I ask. Lucifer hanged his head low, "you would never understand why I let him go, the pain..." He starts but stops. "I think I of all people understand pain." I hiss making him shot his head up and I could see his eyes shinning, tears filling his red eyes up. "No you don't understand pain! But you know what, my brother will understand pain, and so will your precious Jack." He hisses and that's when it finally clicked, why he was doing all of this.

"Oh my god... You loved him." I say making his eyes widen, "What?" He ask almost making me laugh, "You actually fell in love with Dante. That's why... That's why you let him go, because you knew he would never be able to survive down here." I answer. "You won't either!" Lucifer yells making me close my mouth, "You feel it don't you? It's getting harder to breath down here, and with all that talking you just did, I'm surprised you're not out of breath." He growls make me step back as he flies back. "And you really think I would fall in love? Me? You really are naive Elsa." Lucifer answers as he flies down to the floor and starts to walk out of his room. I grab the bars, "You can't run form your feelings Lucifer! They'll come back to haunt you!" I yell as I heard the door slam shut leaving me alone.

I sigh as I put my head on the bars and take a deep breath in before coughing, he was right it was starting to get harder to breath down here. I look at the ceiling only to see the top of the cage, "Please hurry Jackson, I don't know how much longer I can survive down here..." I whispers as I feel tears come into my eyes and I lower my head.

Jack

Everything hurt, but my back hurt the worst. I could feel my knees start to buckle as I look behind me to see a giant boulder on my back. "Fuck... Is this how much greed I have?" I thought as I kept walking. Greed was the circle where everyone who got trapped here, had to carry their 'greed' on their backs in a form of a bolder. I push through it though, I pushed myself, I needed to make it out of here. I looked around me to see at less twelve other people around me, their boulders bigger then mine but yet, they still walked. "Heavy isn't it?" I hear next to me making me turn my head to come face to face with a man who had boils on his face that looked like they would pop any second, he looked like death.
