Shadow Pov

The gang has been preparing for Blaze and Sliver going away party. I helped to make sure Rose had all the invitations going to the right place. Lately she's been kinda distracted and I don't know why. It was 6:30and I was just sipping on some tea prepared by the Chef when an owl messenger, Eddy I think. "Sir Shadow a letter, from King Crossed" He bowed and took in a huge breath. "I rather you read it...I don't feel comfortable reading it out loud."  "Hey Dumbass forget that your meeting me tonight? The where you may be wondering. Dark Moon Forest, by the pavilion. Around 8 and we might be there for a while. Don't be a pussy. Toleration Crossed." I read and Eddy looked away. "Wait the Blood Moon is today?! Shit I forgot! I'm going to have to miss the party." I said putting my hand over my forehead. "Shall I inform Princess Amelia, for you Sir Shadow?" Eddy asked. I sighed. "No Eddy, If I know Rose better tell her this head on. Plus you'll be under her wrath instead of me." I got up from the table. "You seem out of breath too, how about the rest of the evening off." He looked at me surprised. "Thank you Sir Shadow. I can take my wife out for dinner." He shook my hand and ran out the kitchen. 

Now into the belly of the beast.

"What do you mean you can't make it? " Rose asked me while taking out the curlers in her hair. "I forgot today is the first day of fall Rose. Or else I would be at the party. But Crossed, said this us urgent and important." She sighed. "So this go away party isn't important?  Shadow I really don't want you to go. Every time you want to leave to do something trouble and dangers follow. Ever noticed it?" She said. "Look Rose danger can follow me all it wants. I'm not gonna die from it."  She sighed. "You say that every time. Yet you always end up on the verge of death. I don't want you to go Shadow. I'm serious."

It was hard  to take her serious. She had her hair curled down and she was wearing a lght blue dress with yellow trimming and, on her head, she had a flower headband. She looked beautiful.  Angry beautiful. "I'm sorry Rose but you don't control me. It's seems very important. So I'm going." I didn't mean for it to come out like that it just...did. She gaped her mouth and put her hands on her hips.

"Control? CONTROL?! You're the one that controls me Shadow! Everywhere I go I need to be under the watchful eye of you." She growled. "Well If I remember correctly, you always find a way to get in trouble. Always needy, even if unintentional Rose. Why do you think I try to keep an eye on you?" I said justifying my reason. I stood up hopefully to make her stop arguing. But all I did was anger her. "How about you. Any time you go off you always come back with someone else's blood mixed with yours? Is that fair. How about you take someone with you. A guard, or maybe Sonic?" I immediately  growled when I heard his name.

"What can that Faker do besides getting in my way?" I asked now towering over her. "He's not a faker but a friend Shadow." I rolled my eyes. "He's not a friend of mine." I drop my tone in a low voice. "Why because you guys are similar to each other? You never gave a legit reason as to why you dislike him so much?" I grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to me. "Because he likes you so much Rose god damn! I don't want to lose you to someone like him." She looked at me surprise. This argument isn't about Sonic, or my protection. We both know what we're scared of. Losing one another. I can't lose her to him and she can't lose me to whatever. I'm jealous though. Of their friendship. How even after Faker treated her in the past, that she still wants him in her life. Makes me angry. "If anyone should be afraid about losing someone it should be me Shadow. You always try to prove you the ultimate hedgehog, but why not just be someone safer than that. It's not like you have to prove it anymore. We get it, you're strong and whatever but you don't always have to prove it."

I let go of her. She hit my pride. I was called the ultimate hedgehog. "Rose if you're looking for a tea time spouse search somewhere  else. because I am going whether there's danger or not. Whether you like it or not. Have a good time at the ball. Send my farewells." I said walking to the door. "Shadow the Hedgehog, you're unbelievable. And you tell them that's not my job."  I looked back and she turned her back on me. "I'll just ask sonic to dance with me then." I growled loudly and she jumped."Fuck it then."Have fun with that Rose. I don't care. I need to get going." The sun just set and she slightly looked over her shoulder. Her emerald eyes illuminated the now dark room. They were watering at the end and she was frowning. I wasn't going to give in to the sad eyes now. I walked out without looking back and slammed the door.

I got to the P.S system. Dark Moon Forest is actually the dark side of The Horizon. We don't mess with it because it has some strange magic that can harm many residents. But  Tails invented a small bracelet that pokes itself into your skin and then supplies you with antibiotics that help with the toxins.

I finally came to the broken down pavilion, the only one here actually. We don't really know what happened here. "You finally here Fucker?" I heard an all to familiar voice. "Crossed wish I could say it's a pleauser." I said turning around. He looked the exact same justa biit older and more happier. "Well I can tell you it won't be good meeting. There has been some shocking discoveries." He gestured to the pavilion. "Discoveries?" I say standing over to the right side carefuly leaning on one poles. "Remember Solar crazed misson?"

"To destroy the kingdom hard to forget." What is he getting at. "It was only part one..." He said. "Part one?" I heard a screech coming from the distance. "Part two is on it's way. I'm in need your assitance. What we took on 2 years ago has nothing  compared to wha's coming up. " He said and lifted up his shirt and revealed a scar. Actually a pretty new one. It was red and purple on the side. "This is what the did to me. It actually almost poisened me before our healers came through." He put it back down. I needed you to help me block them off if the get to this P.sSSystem in their main land they can control where they want to go." 

"Why do you need me here don't you have an army?" I asked crossing my arms. Suddenly a blast from the other side knocked me to my feet. "I had an army." Crossed said taking out his sword and offering a hand. "So what's the plan." I said taking it. "Take out their big ones. There meeting here tonight. And then take out the P.S.system." He jumped over side to hid in the bushes. I joined him, right before I heard a some uneasy foot steps. He looked over to me and did his fingers 3...2...1. "YAHHHH!"

Maybe Rose was right.
