"Well congratulations it looks like you two are going to be parents of a very healthy baby boy." My ob/gyn Mrs.Lee smiled.
Jin smiled holding my hand in his as we looked at the screen staring at the ultrasound of our baby boy.
"He's healthy?" I smiled.
"Yes. Everything looks fine Mrs.Kim I just want you to make sure to keep your stress low and don't do anything that'll put strain on you or the baby." She advised with a smile.
"So we're ready to go?" Jin asked she nodded handing me a file of our baby's gender and the pictures of the ultrasound.
"Yes. I would like to ask you a few questions though Mrs.Kim if you don't mind."
"Oh sure." I sat up.
"How often do you stress and is there anything specific that causes this stress?"
I hesitated looking at Jin and the doctor. "No I don't stress." I lied.
"I'll be waiting for you outside." He said I handed him the file he kissed my head and walked out.
"Does your husband abuse you because you know we can-
"No! God no. Hes never laid a finger on me." I gasped.
"If you need someone to talk to we can prescribe you a therapist you know." She smiled comfortingly.
"We just went through a really big stump that's all...everything's okay now." No it wasn't.
"Have you properly healed from the obstacle?"
"No..."
"Taking time to heal is okay there's no shame in seeking help." She said.
"I'll think about it thank you dr.lee." I smiled and walked out seeing Jin waiting in the waiting room.
"Hey. Ready to go?"
"Yeah." Wasn't he going to ask? "You're not going to ask me to tell you what she said?"
"I don't want to intrude. Patient confidentiality."
"That's not for me telling you it's only if the doctor tells you without my permission." I chuckled taking his hand in mine. "Let's go home our mothers and the others are going to be over soon to know the gender."
"Yeah." He nodded.
