THIRD

He awoke, startled, sitting up from his position in bed. His heart was beating erratically in his chest, he brought his hands up to his heart as if to calm it.

After a couple of minutes his heart finally calmed down. He sat there for another minute or two, thinking of what he just dream about.

"Was it a dream? It felt so real. Also...who was that girl?" He mumbled to himself. "Her smile was...so sad." It made him think back to a time he saw someone that sad.

He turned to face his window, which happens to be placed near his bed, that was tightly shut. Getting on his knees, he unlocked it and opened it up wide. A cool breeze brushed against his skin but it didn't bother him. The weather outside looked great, as if nothing could ruin it. Then, he saw a figure run across the sand. The person stopped then waved at him from where they stood.

"Heey!" The person greeted. "Sora!"

Sora grinned and waved back just as enthusiastically. "Heya Ven!" He greeted he spiky blonde.

Ven began making his way over until he was close enough that he didn't have to yell. "Good morning."

"Good morning."

"Did you sleep well?"

Sora pondered on his question for a bit. "Kinda. I had this weird dream." He answered truthfully. "It almost felt too real for it to be a dream."

"Really? What happened?" Ven asked.

"I was back at that place again. There was also this girl there...she smiled at me but it looked so sad." Sora repeated to his friend. "And I think she said something to me before it went all black."

"What did she say?"

"She said: I'm sorry."

"Sorry? Sorry for what?"

Sora shrugged, just as confused. "I don't know, I've never met her before either. She just...showed up."

"That's odd...did you want to talk to Master Yen Sid about this? While it could be nothing, it's better to be safe than sorry, you know?" Ven suggested. "We can go right now if you want, I can take you since you did let me spend the night at the islands."

The brunette nodded, appreciating his friends help. "Thanks Ven."

Ven smiled. "Of course! What are friends for."

When they got to the tower, Yen Sid looked like he was expecting them as always. He sat on his usual chair with his usual look on his face.

"Sora, Ventus." He greeted the duo. "What brings you two here?"

"I had a weird dream, Master." Sora spoke, and he repeated the same thing he told Ventus.

"I see, it is quite odd that you visited that place once again." Yen Sid pursed his lips. "But what concerns me is that girl. From what you described of her, I've never seen or heard of anyone like that."

"Wait, so she doesn't exist?" Ventus spoke. "That's impossible."

"Indeed it is, but in the meantime Sora the next time you contact her try to get information out of her." Yen Sid interdicted the keyblade wielder. "We need to know as much as we can, I will notify Ansem the Wise of this."

"Okay?" Sora agreed. "But it's not like I purposely did it or know how, what if it takes a while until I see her again?"

"Only time will tell, Sora. But I can sense you want to know more about her just as I do." The retired keyblade master smirked. "It seems she intrigues you, does she not?"

Sora faintly blushes, looking away. "W-Well...I, uh..."

Ventus chuckles along with Yen Sid whereas Sora poured at their amusement. "It's not funny!"

"Don't worry Sora." Ven patted his back. "You'll see her again eventually."

Somewhere...

HIKARI

What the heck was that?!

Did I really just meet Sora?

THE Sora?!

No, it can't be. He shouldn't be crossing over like that. Yeah, that can't be him.

But...why did it feel so real?

Why did I...say sorry? My heart, when it felt so heavy, felt so light when I laid my eyes on him. As if all my worries washed away when I was with him.

Wow, even when I got the bad end of the stick he still manages to calm me down, soothe me even.

But that was just all a dream, a very realistic dream. There's no way I met him!

...did I?

GAH, STOP IT!

Yet somehow, I wish I could meet him again. Dream or not, I want to. I feel bad for leaving him like that but I panicked! He surprised me when he showed up and I felt like crying on the spot! Then, I heard the faintest voice in the distance.

'Hello? Can you hear me?'

Sora?

'Hello! Anyone there??'

I'm here, I'm here! But somehow my lips couldn't move.

'Please...let me know you're real.'

I forced my mouth to move and I uttered my answer.

"I'm here."
