HIKARI
Sora should be coming soon, so I waited at the 'usual' spot where we meet. A few minutes later he appeared and he had his usual grin on his face.
"Sorry, did you wait long? I had to do something real quick before coming here." Sora apologized, chuckling nervously.
I shook my head. "I don't mind the wait, I only have eternity after all."
Sora laughed, getting the joke. "Very funny." His eyes lit up and he started jumping up and down in excitement. "Hey, guess what? Guess what?"
Tilting my head to the side, I gestured him to continue because I suck at guessing in general. He pouted at my lack of participation but told me anyway.
"I think I found a way to bring you back with me!"
My entire body froze and I near choked on my spit in surprise. "Wh-What?"
"I don't know if it'll work, but, I think I can do it. It worked for Kairi so it should be able to work for you...maybe." He muttered the last sentence but I heard it clear as day.
I felt myself frown. A small part of me lit up in happiness but the rest felt doubt it would work. But he looked so happy and hopeful....
"What is it?" I asked, a bit uncertain.
"Well..." Sora looked unsure himself. "I kinda need to talk to a friend of mine if it'll work or not before I can tell you. But all I can say it has to do about your heart." He pointed at my chest, where my heart is suppose to be.
"My...heart?" I lifted a hand to where it was at.
Sora nodded. "Yeah, it might be a lot to take in if I explain but that's all I can say for now."
I nodded. "That's okay." Sora then looked to be deep in thought, staring at me intently. My cheeks started to feel warm from his stare and I averted eye contact from him. Why was he staring at me?
"Have we met before?" He asked, not breaking his stare when I looked back at him. "I've been meaning to ask you that, but, I felt like it wasn't my place to say yet. I want to know more about you, as in, I want to know your past if that's not too much to ask."
My brows shot up in surprise, that's all he wanted to know? I guess I can tell him, I just can't tell him I'm more or less from another universe and that this is all just a video game.
"I didn't mind, Sora." I told him. "But I appreciate you asking me." I took a seat where I was standing, patting the spot next to me. He immediately sat down and looked eager to hear what I had to say. "So, what did you want to know?"
"You can start from the basics!"
"Okay, let's see..." I pondered on where to begin. "Well, my life wasn't really that interesting. I always stayed indoors and only went out when I was told to, which was basically either school or the supermarket. I'm a heavy introvert and mostly kept to myself all the time. I never really had friends so that's why it was a bit hard to get close to you, not just because you're a guy." Sora stayed quiet, listening to what I had to say. "I'd like to think I'd make a good friend, but, no one really approached me so I wouldn't know." I looked at Sora to give him the hint that I was done talking.
Sora hummed, taking everything in. "Well, I can tell you this: you're a good enough friend to me. And I'm pretty sure that when you come back with me to the real world, my friends would love you too!"
I jerked back a bit. "Y-You think so?" That would be nice, if I could befriend all my favorite characters.
If only.
