In honor of the brand new Content of Tom Hiddleston prepping for the Loki series, here's a one shot!

You were 23, just gotten dumped by your long term boyfriend, and currently sitting at a bar by yourself on a Friday night. You'd walked in on him and another girl getting it on, in your house of all places.

You weren't even mad. You didn't know how to react you were so exhausted, so you'd just told him to get out, and that you'd send all his stuff later. But with the whiskey intoxicating your system now, you might burn it all when you get home.

And to go on top of that, you'd just gotten home from an excruciating mission in Russia with the Avengers. You were the daughter of Tony Stark. An Ex-fling had brought you into the world, and when your mother died when you were 3, Tony was left to raise you. Your relationship wasn't very good while you were growing up, mostly because Tony didn't know what to do with a kid.

When he and Pepper got together, things changed. Pepper became your adopted mother, and you loved being able to say that. Now, the three of you are inseparable.

"You alone tonight?" Someone said. You looked up and saw a tall man standing beside you. "Yeah." You said. "You alright?" He asked. "I'm fine. Just, I dumped my boyfriend." "Yikes. Been there." He said.

"How bout you come home with me and I can make things better?" He smirked. "I'll pass." You said. He raised a hand up to grab your shoulder. "Aw come on, you know you wa-" you grabbed his wrist, and bent it back, making the man yelp in pain. You pinned him down, bending his arm up in between his shoulder blades. "I said no."  "Hey! Get off him." The bartender shouted. You looked up and saw that everyone in the bar was watching you take down the guy. You rolled your eyes, got up, paid for your drinks, and left. You drove home, and went to bed.

*buzz buzz*

It was pouring rain when you You woke up. You  reached over to grab your phone. You opened the message and saw that it was from Loki. You and Loki had shared a special connection from the moment you'd met. You'd always been friends, and you were the only one that could actually keep him in line. For a Stark, that's pretty impressive. You sat up, and read the text:

Hey, I know it's really late, but I could really use your help. Can I call you?

More like, really early, but sure you can call me.

Alright hang on a moment.

You waited for your phone to ring, and when it did, you immediately picked up. "Are you okay?" You asked. "Yes I'm alright. I just..." he trailed off. "You just what?" "I know it's silly, but I had the worst dream." He said. "Hey, it's not silly. Everyone has bad dreams. What made it so bad?" You asked.

"Well, we were on a mission, and you got wounded. No one on the team cared to help, and when I tried, my powers...were..." he stopped. "Gone?" You finished. "Yes. Gone. I tried to save you, but you died in my arms... and then I woke up." He said, breath shuddering.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm not planning on dying any time soon Loki. You don't need to worry." You smiled. "At least I can hear your voice..." he said. "Yeah. That's good." You said quietly. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Nothing? It's just 3 in the morning and I'm sl-" "You're trying to lie to the God of Mischief? I know somethings wrong I can hear it in your voice."

You broke down, and finally began to cry. "I broke up with Blake. He-" you choked back a sob. "I came home from the mission, and he was cheating on me." There was silence on the other end of the line. "Loki?" You said. You heard a loud knock at the door. You hung up, and ran downstairs.
