The Prince of Hell

Chapter 6

Cassie's POV

As we open the doors to the main hall, everybody goes quite and they all turn to stare as me and my father walk toward the stairs.
As we reach the top , my father motions for me to stand next to him in front of our audience.

"Welcome everyone, today we are here to celebrate my daughter and bow down to her as she takes her place on the throne."

"Hello my name is Cassie MorningStar and I am the daughter of Lucifer here to accept my seat on this throne, and serve Hell's disciples as their ruler." I said just like me and Lilith had went over early."

"You must be joking, she is only a girl, she can not possible be ready to take on this responsibility." One of the demons snarls

"Have you forgotten your place fool, this is my daughter! My royal blood, the blood of an angel, runs through her veins, it is her birthright to take this throne, there is no one else more worthy." Lucifer protests

"Well we think otherwise, in fact please welcome Caliban Prince of Hell."

As he speaks the doors swing open and in walks a tall, muscular young man with a head full of long blonde hair and captivating hazel green eyes.

"Sculpted from the pits of Hell from clay, he is the embodiment of Hell itself." The demon continues.

"Hello brothers, yes I am Caliban Prince of Hell and I challenge you Cassie for the seat on that throne." He calls out

"This is preposterous, you cannot challenge Cassie with out a certain amount of signatures first. The throne will go to my daughter."Lucifer testifies

Then another demon chimes in.

"How about this, all in favor of Cassie becoming queen raise your hands"

A handful of hands go up, most of them just because of the fear they have for my father as you can see from their expressions.

"And all for Caliban?"

It's a tie, wow.

"Then it is settled for now Cassie with remain in line for the throne with the help of her father still of course, and if Caliban can gather enough signatures, they will compete in a competition for the crown."

That's when I finally decided to butt in.

"Excuse me but I am the next heir to the throne not some mysterious lump of clay, and if you want it your gonna have to go through me. And trust me when I say, I am not giving it up without a fight, so for my first request as Queen, get the hell out of my castle!...NOW!" I shout and everyone starts to scatter.

I honestly don't know what came over me but I'll be damned if I just changed my entire life to have it taken away in a matter of hours by this guy.

Caliban gives me a sort of sideways smirk, turns around one last time and says
"Oh and by the way, Happy Birthday Princess" and walks out.

I can tell that's not the last I'm gonna see of him.
