Chapter 7

Cassie's POV

Everyone has cleared out and I start to make my way back to my bed chamber.

But as I step off the last stair my father stops me.

"You did great darling, trust me it might not have looked like it but, they were impressed today. Keep in that head space and you'll be Queen in no time."he encourages

"But what about Caliban, surely he'll be back with those signatures, he doesn't seem to be one that gives up so easily."

"Now don't you worry about Caliban, I'll handle him." He says with that devilish look in his eyes, and I soon know exactly what he's thinking.

"Absolutely not! You must be joking?! You are not killing him, oh my god, I can't believe you would actually do that."

"Honey calm yourself, it's what I do best you'll never have to worry about him ever again." And while he says this his eyes grow red and a smile inches across his face.

And that's the first time my father genuinely scared me.

"Perhaps we can talk about this tomorrow, I'm quite tired it's been a very long day?"I say hoping he'll leave me be

"Of course Goodnight Cassie, now get a lot of rest we have a very big day tomorrow." he says and sends me on my way.

I rush into my bed chamber and lock the door behind me.

Although the last thing I want is for Caliban to have my crown, I will refuse to let my father kill him, hell is under new command now and things will be different! 

And I know exactly what I have to do.
But first, I have to get out of these clothes and into something a little more cozy.

I walk into my closet and search around but I don't find any sign of sweatpants or a decent hoodie anywhere.

"I guess he forgot to mention to bring a suit case."

I mange to find some flannel pajama pants and a white silk cami to pair with them.

I then walk into my monstrous bathroom and turn on the shower.

I wash off, change into my night clothes and lay down in bed.

Now we wait.
