(This chapter is going to be longer than the others)

Leaving the store, I unfolded the map, navigating the unfamiliar streets as I continued walking without a clear destination. Lost in thought, my surroundings escaped my notice until an unexpected collision brought me face to face with a boy.

"I am so sorry; I should have looked where I was going," I apologized hastily.

"It's fine... I should have done the same," the boy reassured me. As I glanced at him, I realized he was around my age, with messy dark brown hair and striking green eyes.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to you. I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with the lady in the store. I heard that you are not from around here. Maybe I could help you, and you could help me with something," he suggested, introducing himself as Liam. "I am Aleya...Liam, don't misunderstand this, but why should I trust you with that? You could be a serial killer, for all I know," I expressed my reservations, prompting laughter from Liam.

"I am not a serial killer. But you do have a point. We don't know each other. But I still want to help you, and hopefully, you can help me," Liam insisted. Unsure of what to do, I hesitated, a lingering sense that he wasn't entirely what he seemed. Having learned from Supernatural not to trust everyone, I weighed the potential risks against the benefits of having someone to assist me.

"What exactly do you need help with?" I inquired after a few moments. Liam seemed uneasy as he confessed, "Please don't freak out, but I feel like someone is following me, and I just feel better when I am with someone. I don't really have someone I could go to." Shocked by his revelation, I refrained from showing it. "Why don't you go to your family or to the police?" I suggested. Liam responded, "I don't have a family. At least not anymore. I already was at the police station, but they didn't believe me." Sympathy for his situation welled up within me, and after contemplating, I offered, "Fine. I'll help you. Maybe we could get to know each other as well... If that's alright with you?" Liam's face lit up with gratitude. "I would love that, and thank you for helping me," he expressed, sounding happier already. "No problem. You are also helping me, so... Thank you," I acknowledged, and together, we started walking.

Despite my initial unease, conversations flowed between us as we shared stories and got to know each other better. I refrained from disclosing the mysterious circumstances of my arrival, keeping the details to myself. Gradually, I started feeling more comfortable around Liam.

After a few hours, hunger announced its presence with a growl from my stomach. Liam, noticing, chuckled. "Hungry?" he teased. I nodded, and he suggested, "I know a really nice café. We could take a break there. It's just around the corner." Despite my silent admission of lacking money, Liam reassured me, "That's okay. I'll pay for it." I was surprised but hesitant to accept such generosity from someone I had just met. "Thanks, but I can't accept that. We just met. I'll be fine until I get some money," I protested. Liam stood firm, insisting, "Aleya, I know we just met. That doesn't change my mind. We are going to that café. I can see that you need a break." I offered a slight smile in appreciation, and five minutes later, we reached the café.

Entering the establishment, we found a table next to the window. A young woman took our order, and Liam generously covered the bill. As we continued our conversation, a lingering question hung in my mind. "So...Liam, if you don't mind me asking, why do you think that someone is following you?" I finally brought it up. Liam hesitated before revealing, "My family used to cause trouble around the city. But I didn't want that. I wanted to make friends and be kind to others. So they kicked me out and told me never to come back again. I tried making friends, but they got scared of me as soon as they found out who I am. Everyone thinks that I am like my family. But I am not like them. Two people who work for the FBI have been following me the whole time." Sympathy and surprise mingled within me at his heartbreaking story.

"I am sorry for that. If you want, I'll be your friend," I offered sincerely. Liam's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Aleya. You have no idea how much this means to me," he expressed his gratitude. We continued our meal, and when Liam paid for everything half an hour later, we left the café.

Liam suggested showing me his favorite places, and I agreed. After ten minutes of walking, we reached a small yet beautiful park with a central fountain. Seated on a bench, Liam shared his fondness for the place, especially during the tranquil nights. "You come out here at night?" I asked surprised and intrigued by his routine. Liam confirmed, revealing that he sought solace in the park when he couldn't sleep. "To be honest...I would be too scared to come out here alone at night," I admitted, evading any mention of supernatural elements. Liam, surprised, asked, "Do you watch a lot of horror movies?" I chuckled and decided to avoid diving into the complexities of Supernatural.

Liam laughed in response, and as we enjoyed the serene ambiance, I noticed a subtle change in the corner of his eye. Initially dismissing it, I soon realized that his gaze had taken on a darker hue when he looked back at me. "I am not scared of being alone. I am stronger than I look," he asserted, his eyes turning completely black. In a moment of panic, I jumped to my feet, taking steps back as Liam blinked, returning his eyes to normal. "Y-you are a demon!?" I exclaimed, startled. Liam, approaching me, pleaded, "Aleya...please listen to me. I am not evil like you may think I am." Unwilling to entertain his words, I focused on finding my usual defenses—a bottle of holy water or a protective charm—only to realize that my phone was my only possession.

I didn't even want to listen to him. All i wanted was to get away from him. The exorcism from Supernatural was my only chance. I looked at the demon in front of me and started the spell. ,,Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii....." For some reason i couldn't remember the rest of it. Liam started slightly to shake but he stopped as soon as i stopped. „Y-you are a hunter??" he asked me with a silent voice. „No I am not..... B-but I know some things about it." my voice was silent as well.

"Aleya...I already told you that I am not like the others. I don't want to hurt you or anyone else. Please...believe me," Liam implored, his sincerity apparent. My Supernatural-informed instincts warred with the realization that not all demons were malevolent. Taking a cautious step towards him, I declared, "I...I want to believe you. But how do I know you are telling the truth?" Turning away, Liam sighed, "I understand that you don't want to trust a demon. But I really meant what I told you earlier. I want to make friends and help others. Lucifer kicked me out of hell because I was too nice for a demon." His face carried a hint of sadness, and I sighed, acknowledging, "Liam, I'll be your friend."
