Niall's POV.
I wanted to meet you soon. I really need to talk to you. I miss you. x
I put my laptop aside as I checked my phone for another message came from her, Barbara. She's been texting me for these past few days and I don't even know what's up with her that she suddenly pop up and say I miss you everyday. I wanted to ignore her messages, emails, and even direct message on twitter, trust me, I really do wanna ignore it but there's something on my mind that pushes me to read all of them. At least I am not that dumb to reply with those fake messages she was throwing at me again.
One relationshit with her is enough, and I will never let my self fall for her beautiful face and fake personality, again.
I am idiot, I know, okay.
I shove my phone back to my pocket, not letting myself be distracted by my ex's nothing but fake messages. I wanted to show her that I'm finally recovered by the pain she gave me, that I don't need her in my life anymore, that she's just a mistake, a beautiful mistake.
I took a deep breath and looked at the girl who gave and showed me the real meaning of love. She was deeply looking down the night sky while her earphones are on. She really is an innocent girl, my innocent girl.
I lean my head to her shoulder. As I looked at her without saying any single word, she looked at me through her shoulder with a huge smile plastered on her lips.
"Who texted you?" She pulled one of her earphones and say, "You were like in a deep thought after you read it."
My mind suddenly raced as I quickly think of a good lie, "It was mum, she misses me."
Lying and not telling everything to her is not good, never been good. But I am just afraid to tell her about Barbara's unexpected messages, I don't know how'll she react and I don't wanna talk about Barbara, I am not ready to open this up to Caity, yet.
"I can say your mum is such a sweetie, even though I haven't met her yet." She smiled like she already know and met my mum for years.
My mum is sweet, really. She's the best mum I've ever had but when the time Barbara broke up with me, she became so protective. She's being a bit rude with every girls I am with. She barely talk to the girls and asking unapropriate questions. There comes a time I asked her why is she acting like that, but she only told me that she loves me and she never wanted to see me cry over girls. She's a really good mother to me, but when it comes to the girl I am with, no.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward for both of you to meet." I suddenly say.
She didn't say any word and I decided to shut the topic off. I lean into her closer and soon, I drifted to sleep.
Hours later...
My head jolted against anyone's shoulder - it was Caitlyn, as I heard a loud boom coming from somewhere, what's that?
I looked at Caity, she remain silent on her seat and seems flabberglast by the thing she's looking at right now.
The boom over the night sky continues, was that a thunder or what? Thank God it wasn't airplane who's booming, geez.
"Baby," I whispered to her.
She hummed in response, "Look," she said as she point at the sky.
I lean closer to her and to the window to be able to see what is she talking about. There's another boom again, and then I saw very beautiful and colorful fireworks. I looked at Caity once more and her caramel eyes were sparkling with different shades of coloured fireworks.
