Panic attack

Makes you more alert right? The mind fills with thoughts clouding how you view to think logically. Almost as if the person has left their body.

The chest grows tight, the flow of oxygen feeling like it's been cut off. The guarding of the body against that old wooden door, keeping your loved ones from the truth.

Tears roll down blushed cheeks but that's not from your crush making you blush. That's pure emotion of panic across the face.

Not looking like the person who thought they had it all together. Instead it's not all together.

It's burned.

The world laid on your shoulders for so so long and all you have left are the nightmares.

Not literally nightmares.

Panic attacks.

As if you closed your eyes it would all stop in one single minute, but it never does. As much as you try to get it to stop.

That weight doesn't lift not even for a split second, life never has a pause button.

You won't continue on, but everyone else will.

You won't feel alive, but everyone else will.

You won't breathe properly, but everyone else breathes like they have an endless supply of oxygen.

You won't sleep, but everyone else will walk around with hours of sleep in a peaceful night.

It plays us like a puppet.

Until we drop.

That's panic.
