You found everyone around a table, sitting in silence.

"There you are." Tony declared, standing up.

"What's going on?" You asked, confused that they all looked like they were gonna attack you.

"I could ask you the same thing."

"What do you- this is about my talking to Loki, isn't it."

"You spoke to my brother?!" Thor exclaimed, also standing up.

"Nobody told me I couldn't."

"It was implied that you shouldn't." Tony began making his way around the table to you.

"When? You told me what was going on, then continued the tour, which, by the way, thank you Natasha, for actually showing me where to stay."

"If you know what's going on, why would you talk to him?"

"Ever heard of curiosity? I mean, come on chief. Wouldn't you do the same thing?"

"I wouldn't use Stark as a model figure." Steve broke in.

"Okay? But all of you would! You can't just take one person's word for it, and especially after what you just said. I know you can't, because I've met people who have. I've been one of those people, I have to hear both sides of the story."

"Are you saying you agree with my brother?" Thor said, voice less harsh then before.

"No I-"

"She didn't but there is a chance that she will."

"If that happens, what will you do." It came out of your mouth like a statement rather than a question.

"We'll give you the same treatment as we are to him."

"That wouldn't get you very far, I'd just disintegrate the cage. I could free him right now if I want, but I'm not."

Silence.

"How do you know I'm not getting a friendship with him so I can get all his plans? There's a lot of holes in your story, so somebody needs to do it."

"Is that what you're doing?"

"I don't know, is it? I didn't get the chance to become his friend yet. As of right now, we are merely acquaintances. I gave him some books so as not to be bode and I drew with him because it was a quiet space."

"..fine. But we don't trust you much after this."

"Did you trust me right away?"

"You're part of the team, have to."

"You two don't seem to trust each other that much. And besides, nobody is obliged to trust anyone. It'd be for the best if you did, but trust takes time. And patience"

"...sorry. You're right. This just.."

"Makes you weary of me, I know. I'm weary of myself everyday, afraid that I'll do something stupid that I regret."

"Like what?"

You looked down.

"You're not the only one.." Bruce said quietly.

You glanced over at him and gave him a sympathetic smile, to which he returned.

There was silence as people slowly returned to their seats.

"Uh- so how about that dinner?" Tony said jokingly.

Nobody responded. After a couple minutes of tense silence, you stood up. You walked out of the room, waving behind you.

You felt a little rude for walking out, but it was really awkward in the room. You wanted to talk to Loki, but it was probably a bad idea after that...you'd go to him later in the night, but for the time being, you went the long way to your room.

You stayed in there, drawing, reading, and writing for a couple hours. With music on, of course.

You checked the time and it was 11:02. You figured everyone would be asleep by now, if not in their rooms.

You were wrong. When you left, you went to the kitchen where Tony sat drinking.

"Hey kid." He mumbled. He sounded kinda depressed, and that he'd been drinking for awhile

"Hey...?"

"Where'd you go these past couple hours?"

"..I was just in my room, drawing, reading and such."

"In the quiet? That's worse than what I'm doing."

"I disagree, drinking is bad for your mental health and you're..in the quiet so...plus, I put music on."

"Okay sure. What kinda music?"

"Oh you know, (Favorite band/bands), that kinda stuff."

You both chilled in a comfortable silence for a little bit.

"Thank you." He said quietly.

"For what?'

He shook his head. "I..it's a lot. You've already done a lot for me in the span of two days, not even. I don't even think you mean to.."

"I may come off as a bitch because I'm afraid to get close to people, it always ends badly..But as much as I want to be, I don't think I can truly let people suffer..."

"Have you made people suffer before?"

You shook your head. "I give bad impressions, but that's it. Well, unless someone makes me suffer, I fire back."

"Do you think you could if you wanted to?"

"What?"

"Make someone suffer."

"Well sure, anyone could. I've wanted to on multiple occasions, but I have. Reputation to uphold as a normal, harmless person."

"So you would though?"

You nodded. "But there are exceptions, but they're just dumb."

"Like what?"

"Like if someone doesn't have a chair, I'd give them mine. After some bitch thoughts, of course." You chuckled.

"Oh. Would you kill a person?"

You shrugged. "Depends, what did the person do?"

"Well I mean kill someone just to kill someone."

"...would you?"

"There's no reason to, what would be the gain?"

"To see how it feels."

He put his drink down. "And that's my cue to leave..." He nervously laughed.

"Not to worry.." You smirked at him as he left.

You then sat in silence fo a couple minutes, thinking. Then you pushed yourself off the counter and walked towards the fridge, grabbing a (Fav. Drink) ANd an apple. Not exactly what you wanted for dinner, but you didn't feel like looking for anything else.

You rinsed off the apple in the sink and cautiously wandered around the halls, making sure that nobody else was up.

You didn't see anyone except for the few in the computer lab, but you weren't so worried about them. They were just normal humans. With..connections.

You turned away from them and crept to Loki's cell.

Sorry I only typed up three chapters in the span of a month but school does that to you ;-;
