Your heart pounded so hard in your chest that you feared Kylo Ren may hear it. But this was not in fear; as you knew for certain this adrenaline was caused by something else.

And even through Kylo Ren's black gloves and your thick armor, you still felt as if you could feel his grasp on your arm as he led you through the corridors of the ship until he found what he was looking for. You had been silent along the way, meticulously mapping out parts of the ship as he unintentionally gave you a tour. Kylo Ren would be a fool to think you would give up so easy. Although your first escape plan was ultimately a failure, you had full hope that your next would be far more complex and planned out.

Kylo Ren finally stopped at a door and continued to grip on to your arm with his right arm as he willed the Force to open the door with his left. Almost immediately, your eyes adjusted to the bright white chambers in contrast to the blackness of the ship. You knew immediately that he was taking you to his personal quarters. And he led you in immediately.

Needless to say, it was less than substantial for a Supreme Leader. Sure, it was large and spacious, but it was not decorated or personalized at all. It looked like any other cell on the ship, minus the noticeably larger bed and lavatory.

He finally let you go and the door slammed shut behind you. When it did, Kylo Ren moved to the opposite corner of the room, searching through different cabinets that were hanging from the wall, paying almost no attention to you for the time being. You watched him in silence, not daring to look around the room.

He finally found what seemed to be a pear, and turned to look at you, juggling it in his hands.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, already knowing the answer. You didn't speak, but Kylo Ren lightly tossed the dull fruit over to you anyway. You caught it easily, and Kylo Ren stood in silence, waiting for you to take off your helmet and devour the food you had been deprived of for days now.

But you didn't. Although it was certainly tempting, and you could almost feel the pear's sweet juices on your tongue as you held it in your hand, you knew you could go a few more days of hunger before you took off your mask. Kylo Ren was not worth it. And yet he continued to watch you in awe, as if you were naive enough to actually reveal your face to him.

"Why am I here." You questioned, more like a demand.

You knew why you were there just as well as he did, even if you couldn't put a finger on what to call it. You understood the intense energy you felt in Kylo Ren's presence, but you didn't understand why or what it was. It was as if Kylo Ren could bring out a part of you that you didn't know existed. Perhaps the fervent hatred for him was enough to substantiate an emotional connection with him. Regardless, your question was with no substance. Kylo Ren was no fool, and neither were you. He was just waiting for you to admit it to yourself.

"I told you," he returned, his eyes longing to see yours through that old helmet, "you're more important than you know."

"You never told me what that meant," you returned, feeling like you wanted to cry for a split second. "I don't know what that means. I'm just a Fett. That's my importance,"

"No," he said immediately after you finished, beginning to slowly pace towards you. "You know there is something more. Why can't you admit it to yourself?" Kylo Ren questioned, becoming far more comfortable with you than you would have liked to admit.

"Because I don't know what it is," you could feel your fingers buckling into fists at your aggravation.

"Yes you do," he came even closer now, and you realized this was the closest you had ever been to Kylo Ren without wanting to kill him. He stared right at you, longing to see some form of humanity through your helmet. "Deep down you know what I speak of." He explained "but it shames you" he looked at you more, surveying your emotions as he softly shifted through your mind "the Mandalorians could never accept you for who you are,"

The Mandalorians you thought, remembering what he did to them.

"You know that. That's why you've kept it a secret," Kylo Ren continued, continuing to dig deeper into your mind. "But you know what you are," he acted as if you were some sort of alien creature, but you knew what he meant.

You finally stopped staring at his deep brown eyes and forced yourself to look down at the ground, lowering your head in shame. He was right, in a way, that you had been keeping something from the Mandalorians your entire life. But you felt you were justified; in that you had no idea what that something was, and therefore had no way of describing it to them. You still felt guilt for not letting them know. Aegart, at least. You knew he would understand.

"Say it. Admit it to yourself," Kylo Ren kept his eyes locked on you regardless of your broken gaze. He saw right through you, and regardless of your elaborate attempts at trying to contain your thoughts from him, Kylo Ren was far too strong and could read them without any trouble. It was no use, you were practically naked before him.

That pounding began to resume in your heart again as you came to the intervention. What did this mean? What was the root of this problem and why was Kylo Ren making you feel this way? Despite you both being lonely nomads for years now, you found each other incredible easy to confide in. For whatever reason, despite your still burning hatred for him, you found comfort and refuge in his presence. He was much like you in many ways.

"It's alright, you can tell me." Kylo Ren finally concluded, and for a moment you thought he was going to touch you again. But he stopped himself before he did. You tried your hardest to resist him and the urge to pour yourself out to somebody you barely knew and were supposed to hate. But it was so incredibly tempting. You felt as if you were both two halves to the same whole: two people who didn't belong among their true people and yet didn't belong  alone. You knew that Kylo Ren had felt this exact way before. You knew he felt this now.

"I can't understand it," you finally began, lifting your chin up to look at Kylo Ren again. He seemed closer now, to the point where you had to look up to see his eyes. He looked down to meet yours. You could hear your conscience telling you to stop- to forget this foolishness and remember who you were dealing with: The Jedi Killer.

"Don't be afraid of it" Kylo Ren said softly, and you assumed he heard your hesitance. "I can help you." He finished your sentence because he could tell you weren't going to do it on your own. "You need a teacher. I can show you the ways of the Force"

Those strikingly familiar words that sent a shiver down Kylo Ren's spine and goosebumps along his skin. He had said it to Rey not too long before, right before she struck him across the face with his own Grandfather's saber and left him to die alone on the imploding Star Killer Base. He was serious about it then, just as he had been now. His longing to take on an apprentice was overwhelming now. In some aspects, he thought of it as having his own child. Kylo Ren knew very well that he was strong with the Force. The only thing holding him back from his full potential was his conscience and constant pulls to both the Light and Dark side. He wanted to pass his knowledge on to somebody as strong as him, and make them a better Jedi than Kylo Ren could ever be.

            He saw that in you.

You let silence reign on, waiting for Kylo Ren to say the words that your lips could not. You wanted to try and make light of the situation, but your brain was so foggy and polluted that it was nearly impossible. All you could think about was Kylo Ren, and getting some damn food.

You watched as Kylo Ren, once again, brought his hands up to your shoulders and to the bottom of your helmet. He left them there for a moment, and your hands met his forearms, but didn't pull them down. You wanted to tell him "No!" To push him away and refuse this longing, but it was quite difficult. Not only was the scenario incredibly tempting, but you could feel the room beginning to blacken. You were going to pass out.

Kylo Ren must have noticed this as well, because just before your entire world faded to blackness, you could distinctly make out the feeling of Kylo Ren fumbling your body in his arms the way he had days ago on the Slave 1. And then, you slept.
