"DEATH IS NOT THE BIGGEST DISASTER IN LIFE, THE BIGGEST DISASTER IN LIFE IS, WHEN OUR FEAR OF ALLAH DIES WHEN WE ARE STILL ALIVE!"

The chanting of 'Mabrook' (congratulations) had begun, making me realize this is it. I'm officially engaged to the person I had least expected.
Although the ring exchange ceremony didn't go as I thought it would, I remember at Deeya and Aadil's engagement, Aadil was the first to put the ring around Deeya's slightly shivering hands, and then it was Deeya's turn to do the same. The same happened in Omar and Inayah's engagement, that's why I was expecting it to happen in mine.
But when the time came, Zayn came forward, looked at me in the eye then refused to make me wear the ring.
It left me shocked, surprised and confused all at the same time.
I instantly thought he was backing out, that he finally realized what a huge risk he's taking, but when I managed to look at him through all my nervousness, I saw him smiling at me, not a mocking smile like I had expected, no!
It was actually a smile that got me rid of all my nervousness immediately, he then told his mum to give me the ring instead, as he didn't want to touch me till we were married and Halal for each other.
That, that little gesture of his, was undeniably beautiful. It brought a gigantic smile on my face throughout the whole ceremony and which is still plastered on my face at the moment.
"Creep" someone whispered in my ear from the back, I didn't even have to turn around to see who it was.
"Can't a girl smile?" I ask my twin, he only shrugs and says, "Well she can but that's literally what you've been doing for the past 4 hours, and it's kinda creeping me out now"
"Better get used to it then"
"Sheez woman, you sound like you're whipped. And to say that you guys hated each other" Ay stated and shook his head at me.
"I don't hate him Ay, he just turned out to be the complete opposite of the jerk I expected him to be, and that's why I was smiling" I explained, obviously with the same smile on my face.
"Okay princess, whatever you say. By the way, your prince charming is taking us for a treat, wanna join?" Ay questioned, with a slight smirk on his face which I guess he was trying to hide.
"No thanks, I'd rather stay at home after this exhausting day"
I'm sure he wasn't expecting that answer because he looked surprised, I turned around to leave him and go upstairs to my room when a voice stopped me.
"Ayesha"
With all the courage I could gather, I turned around and looked at Zayn, trying to get rid of the 'creepy' smile, as Ay said, from my face.
I didn't say anything, I just couldn't. So instead, I nodded for him to continue.
And then he said it, those three words that instantly brought that 'creepy' smile back on my face.
"Come with us"
It wasn't a question, but it wasn't an order either, and that is why I found myself walking outside where Deeya was jumping with excitement by Zayn's car.
"What are you so happy about?" I asked Deeya, who was still jumping up and down like she wanted to pee.
"You're finally engaged, aaah, Ya Allah... I'm sooo happy. My wishes have come true, we're going to get married in the same family!"
