Chapter 5

"Okay class, I want to inform you that our semi-final exam for this semester will be next week."

My classmates fakely complain, I turned my sight to Akesha and she just murmered some words.

I heavily sighed. Guess I'm going to do some brain workout huh?

The class hours went on and on, I seriously take down some notes while Ake's just listening to our teacher. Hindi kasi siya mahilig magsulat, she just familiarize what the teacher discussed. Samantalang ako, I don't have the ability to do that. I prefer taking down some notes at sa bahay ko lang pinag-aaralan. Time flies so fast. Lunch break na naman and as usual, I'm going to eat alone, napapadalas kasi yung lunch date nila Akesha at Mathew. Pinapasabay naman ako ni Akesha but I refused. It's better na they eat alone para makapag getting to know sila in a serious and deep way.

I'm sitting in a table nearly in the window, wala namang bago. I'm so boring and I know it.

I silently eat my meal, the cafeteria is very crowded and filled with noise.

"Omg! naligaw ata ang isang Adonis dito!" someone talked in my back and make tili.

"Ang gwapo talaga niya!"

"Kyahhh! He's my boyfriend!"

I just rolled my eyes to my food. I didn't give my attention kung sino yung pinagkakagulohan nila. I don't have any interest about boys.

"Would you mind if I sit here?"

Napatigil ako sa pagkain ko, ohh that voice!

Napaangat ako ng tingin, and saw him watching me.

"Uhhh no." I said.

Tumingin lang ako sa pagkain ko. He sat down in front of me. He just grab a book from his bag. I thought he will eat. Ohh now I couldn't eat well! Fudge!

Pinaglaruan ko lang yung pagkain ko at hindi na sumubo ulit. It's like busog na 'ko for no reason.

"Ohh, bakit siya umupo dyan?"

"Maybe babysitting!"

What? Do I look like a child?!

"I think so, diba si Maureen Faye yan? She's the sister of Alezander Evan Alemania and Alezander and Gabrielle are bestfriends, baka inutusan siyang bantayan yung kapatid niya."

Great!

Tumingin na lang ako sa kaniya, he's just silently read his books, he's serious about it, parang hindi mo madidisturbo and while staring at him. I saw his long thick lashes perfectly fine, The way his eyes move, his pointed nose and his cherry red heart-shaped lips.

My fantasies gone wrong, when he caught me looking at him. I look away and fakely cough.

Tumingin ako sa relo ko at nakita kong 12:30 pa lang, I have 30 minutes more!

"Uhh excuse me Kuya Gab. I'm done with my food, can I excuse myself?...my pupuntahan lang ako somewhere.

He shifted his weight and then he suddenly close his books and all his attention goes into me.

"Where?"

"Uhhhh... somewhere." 

Ayaw ko namang sabihin na pupunta lang ako sa mga bench dahil ayaw kong nandito siya. He's presence were very intimidating actually!

"Okay then, ihahatid na kita."

"Uhhh wag na kuya! I think you're busy and continue what you're doing kuya. Akesha will accompany me anyway. I have to go kuya." I said and without hesitation I immediately grab my things and walk away from the table he was at.

Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag when I finally outside of the cafeteria. Dumiretso na ako patungog bench park at doon na lang nagpahinga sa nakakahiyang eksena kanina.

I grab my phone in my bag and text Akesha

: I'm at the bench park, hindi pa ba kayo tapos?

After few minutes wala akong natanggap na reply galing sa kaniya. I sighed, Binalik ko na lang ang phone ko sa bag.

Sa gitna ng paglinga-linga ko sa kapaligiran, my heart beat skip a bit dahil sa nakita ko

He's sitting at the bench reading again a far! Sinusundan niya ba 'ko?! Kung Oo, bakit?! or it's just coincidence?

I deeply sigh sa mga iniisip.

Kinuha ko na lang ang earphones at nagpatugtog some chill jazz music, I'm not really into music but I enjoyed them whenever I see peaceful places  like this one.

When the afternoon wind blew my hair, napapikit ako sa sariwa na hangin at naibsan ang gulo sa utak. Yumuko ako at pinagpatuloy pa rin ang pag eenjoy sa lugar at ang katahimikan nito.

When I opened my eyes, A black leather shoes ang una kong nakita, it scares me! napaangat ako ng tingin and again nakita ko ang mga mata niya at yun ay mapupungay hindi ko alam kung anong ipinihiwatig niya o ano ang nararamdaman niya mismo sa tinitingnan niya. I immediately plug my earphones off. Napaupo din ako ng maayos.

"uuhhh....k-kuya Gab." I couldn't speak well, I'm blank right now!for God sake! Sa harapan pa niya! but whatever kung anong isipin niya. I don't mind but I rewind! Fudge!

His brows furrowed and his lips pout his eyes remains a mystery for me.

"I thought, your friend will accompany you? where is she?" He said huskily

Even his husky voice iniisip ko pa! He's presence intimidate me!

Tumikhim ako and act like normal, Magaling naman akong magpanggap. Binuksan ko din ang bag ko at umaktong nag-aayos kahit wala naman talagang kailangan ayusin sa loob.

"I'm waiting for her Kuya."

Tumingala ako sa kaniya and his brows remained furrowed.

"Did you follow me here kuya o may hinihintay ka din?" I said and chuckled like it is a joke.

He looked at me intently tila nanantya sakin'. Umiwas ako ng tingin when I realized wala namang nakakatawa sa tanong ko.

"None of that. I came here because I liked this place and it's kind of relaxing here." He said

"Oh! okay."

I smiled and bowed down. Sa sandaling katahimikan na namamagitan sa aming dalawa. Napatalon ako sa biglaang pagtunog ng cellphone ko, nagmamadali akong kunin sa loob ng bag ko. Nakita ko na si Akesha pala ang tumatawag.

Sinagot ko ito ng walang pag alinglangan.

"H-hello Ake" Tumingala ako kay Gab at nakita kong nakatitig din siya sakin'.

"Where are you na! nandito na 'ko sa classroom. Hindi ako nakapunta dyan dahil akala ko nandito kana! It's quarter to one! Text ako ng text pero di mo naman yata napansin." Sabi niya and she's right, quarter to one na nga. My eyes got bigger at hindi nako mapakali!

"Uhhh I'm on my way. Bye!" sabi ko at nagmamadaling pinulot ang mga gamit ko. I couldn't think straight seeing Miss Falconer scold me it horrors me! Hindi pa naman niya gusto yung late!

Napaatras siya sa pagtayo ko. I couldn't think straight and I forgot his presence.

"Uhh Kuya Gab, I have to go. May class pa ako and I'm running late."

And then again, I fastly walked away pero hinigit niya yung braso ko. Natulala ako sa nangyari. He looked at me with a serious hawk-like eye bago niya ko binitawan.

"Ihahatid na kita. Please don't say No."
