3 Months After
Han's eyes opened, he could hear the lulling back and forth of waves, the cries of gulls, the sway of palm leaves. It sounded almost like home.
The smell of salt water and sea foam tickled his nose, clean air filled his lungs and warm rays of sun kisses his the sheets of the bed from the window.
He found himself confused, his memory was shake and his body felt stiff. Yet, one thing was clear, he wasn't in Tokyo anymore.
Han tried to move slowly but surely raising his body to rest his back against the headboard. A familiar screaming echoed in the far reaches of his mind. It made his heart clench paifully.
"Raquel..." he exhaled, looking about the room. As his panic started to rise the door to the large bedroom opened. The smell of food flooded in.
Her beautiful dark eyes shimmered and a elegant smile slipped across her face. "You're finally up, and earlier than I expected." She said.
Air caught in Han's lungs as he looked on her with wide eyes. "Gisele?" He asked softly. Her smile grew as she walked to his bedside, resting the plate of food on the end table, she reached out with a robotic arm and brushed his bangs away. "I'm not so easy to get rid of, you know that." She said.
Han focused on her smile, unable to stop himself he reached out to her, cupping her face, he moved towards Gisele. His lips crashed too hers, his heart thundering in his chest.
Gisele let him latch his fingers I to her hair and she sat on the bed.
The kiss was desperate and feverish, but like a anchor falling from a ship and into the sea below, that distant familiar screaming rushed from the far reaches of Han's mind and slowly radiated. It rang in his ears, down his arms and pulsed in his heart.
A pitiful screeching yowl, as if something had been dying with its core burning away slowly.
Han pulled away from Gisele, his expression an mangled mixture of confusion, distraught and panic.
"Raquel?" He asked. It was the oly thing he could do, Gisele had him. She could have found her too. But why wasn't he in Tokyo? The move he thought about things the more questions he had.
Gisele flashed a bitter smile. "Recovering in Tokyo. Like you, she isn't nearly done recovering." Gisele said.
"She's ok?" Han asked quickly. Gisele's smile fell. "She is fine." She said. Han watched Gisele's slightly sour expression and reached out to timidly touch her face with his fingertips. "Sorry, I..." he didn't know what to say to her.
He'd wanted this moment more than anything. He had so many questions for her, but somehow his mind was stuck back in Tokyo. "You've delt with a lot, rest you've got time to get your answers. We're together again, you can rest well it is safe here." Gisele reassured.
