Valerie's POV:

It's been weeks since we had our first feast with the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien, and still I know nothing of the plan to stop Deyanira from her evil plans. As much as I tried eavesdropping and trying to persuade them that I needed to be in this mission because my life was on the line but still they said all I needed was to relax. Skylar can easily say that, she has been flirting with Haldir none stop and she seems to be growing on him now that Haldir is finally noticing her.

"I love it here!! I wish we could live here and never leave!" Skylar sighed as she twirled inside of my small cottage or as they call it Talan wearing a light green dress. She plopped on my soft bed and asked "What do you think Val?" I loved it here, but I love Ballet more. I gave her a weak smile and tried my best not to answer her question. Instead I changed the subject, "What do you think they are planning?" she rolled her eyes and said "Oh, you know! Swords, bows, and possibly cannons. That's if they have it here, we could try to help them make Molotov's." "It's gonna take more than that to kill Deyanira." I said

"Why can't Gandalf just zap them with his magic stick or Galadriel doing her power of light to bring her down." she said as she suddenly walked around the room. "You can't be serious." I said as I put my face into my hands. "How about me and you do some hiking." Skylar said all of a sudden, excited. "Are we even allowed to?" I asked, I haven't left the forest since day one neither am I spending much time with Legolas the only time I got to saw him was night time and he would just kiss me and say good night. I know he still loves me for he is trying to find a way to destroy the one person who wants me dead. "Yes, Yes, me and Haldir have been on hikes before and I know the path like the back of my hand." she assured me. I smiled and agreed.

I groaned, "Sky, you told me you knew the path." we have been walking for almost 5 hours and we couldn't find our way back to the Caras Galadhon. All we saw was trees, trees and more trees. "I tell you it is this way." she said pointing to the right, "But you said that an hour ago." I complained, I knew this was a bad idea. The things you do for your friends. "I promise you it is this way!" she said once again going right again. We're hopeless.

The sun was now setting and it was getting darker. "I think we should call for help." Skylar said "Well, be my guest Sky. There are no phones here and we are in the middle of a God damn forest. What makes you think help would come!?" I raised my voice. At the beginning of the hike I truly enjoyed it as I looked at the glowing trees and beautiful plants that I have never seen before, even the river that was a few miles away but now it was dark and haunting. Nothing about this place seems right everything just screamed horror. "Hey! I am sorry! I could have sworn I knew the path." Skylar said, we kept on walking and my feet were aching, not only that but we were wearing our dresses and I was sweating like I was walking in a pit of fire.

As we ventured more and more into the forest absolutely not knowing where we are going, we then saw a light. "See! I told you I knew the way!" she said as we both started walking towards the light only to find out it was a camp full of Orcs. Before Skylar could scream I covered her mouth pulled her behind before anyone could see us but then the orcs started sniffing the air like dogs. "Shit." I whispered as me and Skylar started crawling away. I could already feel Skylar's tears running down my hand that was covering her mouth, I could also feel mine pricking my eyes. The ugly creatures started speaking in a language that we could not understand but I could tell that they knew we were near because about a dozen of them stood up and started walking around. The tears were now slowly running down my face but then I swore that my spirit jumped all the way up into the skies and left my poor body suffering as a terrifying orc suddenly jumped in front of us growling and snarling like a wild animal. The other orcs turned their heads toward us, and I never screamed as loud as I did this moment.
