The next day at exillium, the tents were set up along the edge of a sheer cliff, overlooking a blackened, shriveled woodland. It basically looked like a horrifyingly sad place.

"Where are we?" Sophie whispered.

"It doesn't matter", Her purple coach said behind her.

The five friends turned to find all three coaches looming over them. Waywards milled nearby, pretending they're weren't eavesdropping.

"How could you say that? Don't you know what's happening down there?" Biana asked the coaches.

The coaches's answer made Adelaide feel sick.

They were told to go to their hemispheres when Sophie totally burned the coaches(not literally) in Adelaide's opinion.

She followed Sophie to sit near one of the tent poles. She saw a shadow pass over them and saw the shade and hydrokinetic standing beside them.

She looked the shade curiously but directed her attention to the coach when the coach had started talking.

When the coach announced that they'd be practicing levitation-in-motion, Adelaide frowned.

She had never tried that before.

She levitated and tried to walk but it was really hard. She didn't fall like Sophie had but her walk was really wobbly, she felt like an idiot as she saw the other waywards doing it as if it was an easy thing to do.

A gong announced their break and Adelaide had never been that relieved.

She and Sophie when'd to the eating area where everyone else was lining up for lunch. She noticed that each person took only once piece of fruit and sat on threadbare blankets same as their hemisphere.

She randomly took a fruit and sat next to Sophie.

The shade and hydrokinetic sat across from them.

The gong rang again, ordering them back to their tents. The wind made the exercises more challenging. Waywards crashed into each other. Adelaide tried to balance herself while walking but the wind kept wobbling her even more than before.

Suddenly Sophie raced toward the cliff and jumped. Adelaide gasped and ran over to the cliff trying to follow her but purple coach pulled her back. She saw another coach stop Biana from jumping too. The third coach was about to stop fitz but Adelaide secretly zapped him. The coach tripped in shock from the electricity and fitz was allowed to follow Sophie.

Everyone was quiet for a moment.

"EVERYONE BACK TO YOUR RESPECTIVE TENTS! NOW!"

Adelaide walked back to the ambi tent and stood at the side hoping that fitz and Sophie were okay.

You shouldn't have done that, you could've got caught. Someone whispered in here ear.

Adelaide knew that the shade was the one whispering and she also knew that he was referring to her zapping the coach.

She looked at the shade who was next to the Hydrokinetic.

She didn't know why, but she wanted to get to know the shade.
