Chapter 20

                              Anna

"Yes, i am going" She said with casual voice with yet demanding voice my chest rise up and my heartbeat began to pound against my chest along with fear rushed over me. I stand up walked over to her as my heavy footsteps clattering on the floor.

"Emma, do you know that he's gonna ruin your life?, just like he ruined mine" I warned her stands front of her proximity, she sighed heavily stared into my eyes

"You have suffered enough anna, i can't stand seeing you like this, I can't stand seeing my best friend who getting bullied by him all the time trying to protect me" She said, her eyes became teary and those blue sparkling eyes held so much fear, worried and hurt.

I pulled her into my embrace, hugging her as tightly as i can "I know you're trying to protect me back but i'm already fucked up emma, i don't have life anymore, i'm already broken and i don't want to let him ruin your life watching you fall apart one by one just like me and i'm not letting that happen. There is so many good things i haven't mentioned about you and i feel like i want to tell you right now" I said with shaky voice, a tight band restricted my throat

I broke the hug cupped her cheek "You're precious, kindhearted, brave, beautiful, open-minded, you're the only girl who had been sweet to me, you're the only one who helped me go through with these painful life, thank you for everything, Thank you for staying with me, talk to me, thank you for never leaving me, i really appreciate what you did" I choked out with tears, more tears threaten to spill on her eyes as she connects her forehead on mine, i felt her hand slide back of my forehead keeping me steady.

We were both staying like these positions crying our eyes out, The room filled with our sobs, what would i do without her, if i didn't stay at that playground i wouldn't have met her at all, i would just stay here like this getting bullied like a broken girl i am, she lift my chin little bit wiped my tears with her sleeve.

"Lets go out for walk and take some fresh air" she shakily said took my hand and led me outside.

We walk and walk without stopping, a comfortable silence filled the between us. We were walking in the street and passing through the orange lights that gleaming our paths. We both finally crossed the road and arrived at playground that we used to play in here when we were kid.

"Do you remember this place?" she asks with laugh bit walking around

"Yeah, this was the place we both met" I replied with smile following behind her.

She sat on the chair looking at the sky with smile on her face but changed into frown "Its so depressing when you leave your childhood memories" She sighed, i sat next to her and exhaled deeply through my nose "I know" i said, she dropped her head on my right shoulder.

We both sat there quietly looking up the sky, the stars were scattered around the moon, suddenly my phone buzzed twice, i pulled out my phone and i saw message from Brett i shakily let my breath out

Brett: Where is she?

Me: Fuck off you dick, she's not coming anyway

Brett: Im warning you anna

Fucking psychopath, he's literally crazy.

Me: Go ahead do it

Brett: You said it

"Who was that?" She asks with curious tone, if i tell her that Brett sending me threat message she would obviously go to that party and kick his ass but there is no way she can beat his ass cause brett has lot of friends who got his back no matter what.

"It was just my mom, she wants me to come home" I lied, she raised her head looked at me searching for lies but she didn't believe what i has just said.

She nodded. Slowly, "Lets play game before we go back to our home" She suggests trying to lighten my mood

"Like what?"

"I don't remember the game name but i obviously remember the game rules and others too, you're gonna try to catch me" She winked with smile, i groaned and "Why am i always chase your ass" i said playfully shook my head

"Cmon, you're good at that kind of stuff" she says, pulled me from the chair

I playfully rolled my eyes "Alright then, run!" I shout with that she began to run straight as i chase after her. She was really faster than me, i was only few inches away from her. My buzzed twice in my pocket but i ignored it kept running after her.

Thats what i saw car light from the long distance and i knew exactly who it was "Emma slow down" I yelled getting panic

"Cmon, you're better than this" She shouts back.

I stopped running and pulled out my phone, it was from Brett again

Brett: You're dead

My grip got tighten. A anger began to build up in my chest, i can't stand him anymore then i threw my phone on the ground "What's wrong anna?" She shouts breathing heavily.

I ignored her and began to walk faster on the road watching the car approaching

"Anna what the hell are you doing?!" She shouts

I ignored her again, finally stands on the road waiting car to approach me, i didn't know what i was doing but there is only one thing i knew exactly who it was in that car. I closed my eyes fisted my hand tightly and my heart was pounding in my chest so hard, i can hear the car almost coming and emma's voice yelling my name.

Suddenly i felt hard push over me as i fall down on the ground, everything went so fast and quick. I coughed and looked around trying to figure out what had just happened as my eyes landed on emma. My stomach dropped and my heart stopped too. She was laying there looked lifeless.

I stand on my feet rushed over to her as i kneel down slide my hand on her back lift her up "E-emma!" I yelled out with shaky voice pushed all of her hair. There was blood everywhere on her forehead "Pl-please, st-stay wi-with me" I sobbed out.

She wasn't moving or breathing "Ple-please" I sobbed burying my head into her neck, I felt so guilty for what i did, it should've be me, not her. She doesn't deserve any of this at all.
