Sonic the hedgehog is a cocky and self conceited hedgehog. But what happens when he's secret is exposed about him being able to figure skate. What will he do? Will he lie to keep it a secret or will he tell the truth?
Sonic ran and ran to the one place he knew he wouldn't be bothered:
The ice skating rink
It was his favorite place to go when he needed a breather or he just wanted to get away and escape the world. He slowed down some to stop at the entrance of the rink. It was Skating Spectacular and he absolutely loved it! Although it had started to fall on hard times. But ever since the Sonic had been going there, more people had been coming and soon enough, business was booming.
"Ah back aga- Sonic are you okay?"
The owner had quickly ran over to the blue hedgehog before he collapsed. The owner was a white bear with purple eyes and he had been a friend of Sonic's father. Apparently Sonic heard that they had been best friends since they we're born. But after Jules died, the bear was heartbroken and left the kingdom though he frequently visited Sonic family when he was younger.
"I saw him again and h-he tried t-to get b-back together again, I'm sacred Jason."
Sonic struggled to say this without bursting out into tears. The bear who was apparently named Jason had hugged Sonic even harder than he did before. He new who Sonic was talking about and he absolutely hated him. He was worse then that annoying chipmuck who tried to get with Sonic due to the fact that he was having an arranged marriage.
"Don't worry Sonic, everything will be fine. I won't let him hurt you. I promise."
"Thank you Jason."
Sonic smiled for the first time in forever. Whenever Jason saw Sonic, he would have a fake smile, so it was kind of surprising to see him with a real smile for once. Though it was a sad one. Jason gave a sad smile back and helped Sonic up.
"You know what, how bout this? Since you saw him and don't want to go back to school, how bout I let you stay here and skate for the rest of the day. How does that sound?"
"That sound great! Thank you so such!"
Sonic was beaming with a huge smile on his face. Jason smiled back with a soft smile. He absolutely loved this hedgehog like he was his own son. But he wasn't so he just gave Sonic his favorite skates and big smile. These skates used to belong to Sonic's father he died. Sonic had kept them for as long as he can remember. Although his siblings tried to get rid of the skates, Sonic got them back.
