I thickly swallowed as I swung into a parking spot close to the Cullens. They stood just outside of their cars chatting casually. I wiped my sweaty palms on my ratty old jeans and took a deep breath. I groaned to myself, gaining the attention of the vampires in question. I slammed my head against my steering wheel and accidentally honked the horn. I saw Emmett and Jasper snicker to one another and I scowled in their direction.

I made my final decision and opened my car door. I confidently walked in the direction of the humanoid creatures. Elizabeth mouthed a 'Thank you' as I walked passed.

"H-Hello, everyone..." I stuttered struggling to make eye contact with each individual sibling.

They stared, unblinking at me as I stood in front of them. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to take a break.

I can do this, I thought.

"Edward, and all of you, I know the truth." I said, deciding on just coming out.

If any of them were shocked they didn't show it. Of course they didn't know which truth I was talking about.

"About you, and I'm assuming your parents, being vampires." That got a rise.

A threatening glint slid through Rosalie's eyes as Emmett and Jasper took a fighting stance. Edward and Alice remained calm however, perhaps determined to make me not believe.

"I'm afraid Astor, I don't have any idea what you're talking about." Edward said with a dull tone.

"Yes you do," I chuckled a little, "because your mother told me." I couldn't quite describe the emotion coming over Edward's face.

"What did you say?" He said exasperated, and it seemed Rosalie had had enough.

"How dare you come over here and accuse us of that, and then bring up Edward's mom. You don't know a thing about us." She said, angirly.

"Elizabeth." I interrupted, a look of shock passing over her face, "Elizabeth Masen, died of the Spanish Influenza along with your father." I continued.

Then utter silence fell over the group. Emmett and Jasper didn't back down, but Edward's gaze seemed to soften.

"I know if you don't want to believe me, but the things I say aren't fake. I really can see ghosts, and I see all of your's." I said looking individually at each of them.

"What do you mean?" Jasper asked, his voice thick with a southern drawl.

"You all have ghosts, not all your parents, but they're there. I see them." I said, looking just passed their faces into the eyes of each individual ghost.

The silvery wisps of air seemed shocked, save for Elizabeth and Alice's man who noticed me yesterday.

"Ghosts are usually here for a reason, Edward," I turned my full attention to him, "Your mother wanted me to tell you that she and your father are very happy. They also aren't sick anymore." I looked to Elizabeth for confirmation.

She nodded before she added something else.

"Tell him, that I don't regret saving him, and that I love him even with what he became." I nodded, seemingly at nothing, then repeated the words.

The looks in his siblings eyes soften at their brother. I had a feeling he might be crying if he could. I licked my lips in worry before glancing between each of them again.

"W-Well, goodbye I guess..." I turned on my heel before darting away.

I took a shaky breath and then a new emotion set in, proudness. I felt proud for fulfilling a ghost's destiny like that. She ought to have disappeared by now, which meant I would have done my job well.
