"Virgil... What?" Virgil laughed as he stood there blocking the door and preventing Roman from leaving. They were already late to get to their next 'not' tour but Virgil for the first time ever was the one causing an issue.
"Put a hoodie on... something to hide the face." Roman just stared at him with such confusion while Virgil continued to laugh. "Just do it. We're going to Combat today and I want your identity a secret... for now."
"Why?" Virgil groaned as he shot Roman this look making him pale. "I just don't understand."
"Why would I want you to hide your face if no one knows you so it doesn't matter? Oh, wait... there is someone who knows you. Someone who just got out of solitary TODAY and is a very SOUR mood... mainly my fault but still. Someone who could really use a surprise and what bigger surprise for that someone than their FUCKING BROTHER?!"
"Wait we're going to see Remus?" Virgil smiled seeing the shine in Roman's eyes as he quickly ran to get a bright red hoodie with the name Romulus on the back. Virgil narrowed his eyes and Roman laughed as he stuffed his hands into the pockets. "It's uh... It's an inside joke. Remus has a green one with his name on it... You know. Romulus and Remus, the brothers who created Rome?" Virgil just looked confused as Roman shrugged. "Ah, well. I was never good at history."
"Forgetting that... let's get going." Virgil literally ran out of the room leaving Roman there stunned. "Hurry up!"
Virgil tumbled through the door with a big goofy grin yelling at the top of his lungs. It wasn't any particular word... mostly just a scream which was reciprocated instantly by a very loud and hyper man hanging off the top balcony. Roman froze up, paled in complete embarrassment as he hid his face further in his hood watching his brother fall to his feet from where he was hanging.
"VIRGIE!" Virgil sighed in a sort of relief as Remus slammed into him.
"Heya, Ray ray." Remus beamed as he pulled away only to mess up Virgil's hair that had at one point been neatly brushed back. "You aren't mad?"
"Virgil, I know you. I snapped and... went after a staff member. I'm not mad because you sided with Marcos. I'M MAD BECAUSE THAT ASSHOLE TRIED TO TAKE MY..." Remus stopped and let out a deep breath before smiling again. "Anywho, while I was in the slammer, I got to thinking. You the head of Capture and Detainment right? That means your hella skilled in combat not that I've seen you in action much but... maybe we could spar?"
"No." Remus pouted as he jumped about making Virgil smirk with amusement.
"But come on! Even Ashton said he fought you and that asshole only skill is being a manipulative jerk! I'm your partner!" Virgil rolled his eyes as he just shook his head. "Virgil, it's not fair."
"Suck it up, Trash boi. I'm not going to fight you." Remus stopped his foot like a toddler throwing a temper making Virgil chuckle.
"I'm not taking no for an answer Virgil." Virgil's eyes narrowed challengingly as Remus smirked. "Please, Virgie. Please. Please. Please, Virgie. Virgil, come on. Virgie, I wanna. Fight me. FIGHT ME!"
"Jesus Christ!" Roman slapped a hand over his mouth the moment he spoke. Remus froze up as Virgil bit his lip to stop from laughing.
"Ray, how long have you been out of solitary?" Remus just stood there staring blankly at nothing as Virgil tried to get his attention. "Remus? DUDE!"
"Not long. Just after breakfast..." Remus's eyes moved to Roman who was looking anywhere but at him as he pulled his hoodie strings tighter. "Why?"
"We got a new guy. This guy to be exact. I've been assigned his mentor." Remus frowned as Virgil just kept trying to hold back the laughter. "He met Logan first... then Janus. It actually went really well. I'm surprised they didn't tell you."
"Tell me what?" Virgil sighed as he looked over at Roman watching the man slowly take his hood off.
"That they met your brother." Remus's eyes welled up instantly as Roman just smiled sheepishly.
"Hey, Remus."
"Fucking dickhole parents." Remus pulled Roman right in ignoring the way his bother tensed at the contact. "I'm so sorry."
"It's ok, Remus. I'm over it..."
"NO!" Remus squeezed him tighter as he cried. "I'm one thing. They can send me away all they want. I was the problem child the rebel... the one always causing shit. But... You did nothing wrong. YOU DID NOTHING!" Virgil's eyes narrowed as Roman slowly hugged back. "They sent you away simply because they got tired of us... and our touches. It's pathetic. You shouldn't have had to go through that. You shouldn't have..." Remus froze as Roman pushed himself further into him while he shook. His shirt slowly started to get wet and Remus knew his brother was crying. "I'm so sorry Roman. I never wanted this for you."
"Fuck them." Roman laughed through the tears as the bothers just stayed there in each others arms for support. "Fuck our father and his shitty need for a good public image. Fuck our mother and irrational fear. FUCK EVERYONE!"
"One good thing about this though, Bro." Remus smiled as he pulled away and wiped Roman's tears away. "We have each other again. I won't let ANYONE hurt you. Never again. NEVER AGAIN. I love you, little brother." Roman smiled as he stepped back and nodded.
"Love you too, Remus."
