Willy was already talking by the time they caught up with the group, although it took them a moment to realize he had been talking at all, they were too stunned by the sight of the gigantic geese before them. Alex for all the wrong reasons; she had always hated geese and was thankful for Willy talking because it took her mind off them and for Mike's outburst because Willy covering his mouth made her giggle.

"Hey daddy I want a golden goose!" Said. Veruca suddenly. "Here we go again." Said Charlie and Alex before calling a jinx. (Charlie won.)

As Mr. Salt and his daughter started 'negotiating, ' Alex drifted to Willy's side and wrapped her arm within his, standing tall beside him when Veruca demanded a party. When the bratty girl ran to complain to the Oompa-Loompas, he turned to Alex with a gentle smile and a pat on the hand that spoke volumes even before he said; "Thank you, my dear." Alex nodded gently before replying; "Don't let them see they get to you."

Still...when it was all said and done, Alex felt kinda bad for Veruca.

"Some eggs just can't be saved." Said Willy and Alex at the same time, before meeting each others gaze and blushing.

(Veruca Salt song)

"I just don't understand it, the kids keep disappearing like rabbits." Commented Willy, walking along with a newly-bold Alex on his arm striding alongside him. "Well, at least we still have each other." Though Alex couldn't help noticing that he looked at her and Charlie as he said that.

You'd think after all the unusual things I've seen today I wouldn't be so easy to impress, no such luck. Thought Alex as they came upon the Wonkamoblie. Just as she was about to take a seat, she felt a gentle tug at her skirt. She turned her head and saw one of the Oompa-Loompas calmly looking up at her before handing her a small cup of ginger ale. Lips parting in surprise, she took the cup with a gentle nod before taking a sip. Upon noticing she was the only one with a cup, she downed the drink and put the glass away before anyone noticed.

The ride was probably the most enjoyable she had ever experienced; though it was rather slow, the suds made for a laughable experience that had her feeling nostalgic when it was all said and done. It had been so long since the last time she allowed herself a chance to just be a kid, she had both Willy and Charlie to thank for that, the factory as well.

"Couldn't we have walked?" Asked Mike when they stopped. "If the good Lord had intended us to walk, he wouldn't have invented roller skates." Was Wonka's reply, Alex nodded with fake seriousness while hopping off. "Well said sir, well said." Their eyes met and they both laughed faintly.
